The hair needs to be a shade or two darker....first time I've looked at something and said "What the....."

Are you sure they're finished with it???
I'm gonna make it, Dad.

:( :? :?:

If you could see my face, I would not need to say anything. You'd see my dismay at these awful wax figures!

Steve, I agree. There is something about Renee Zellweger that just doesn't sit well with me!

It's the collagen enhanced lips. Something unnatural about enhanced lips... :D

But wait, there's more!

Magnum @ the Hollywood Wax Museum in Branson, MO...

Image

Looks like a clone of the one in Hollywood, but with a different (and again, wrong) shirt. Still no ring, bracelet, and watch!

Tom Selleck/Three Men and a Little Lady @ the Movieland Wax Museum, Buena Park, CA. The museum closed in 2005...

This may be a really dumb question, but do the celebrites get to sign off on their wax duplicates?? The ones of TS are so unlike him, I have trouble imagining that he would have given the go ahead.
Higgins: You've washed the car?! How extraordinary. Why would you do such a thing?

They all kinda look like.... Burt Reynolds.

But, you think they could get the shirt right! They aren't THAT hard to come by!

Plus a Tigers cap would go a LOOOOONG way. I can forgive the watchless-ness (yes- I just made that up), and the MIA bracelet, but STILL, get the essentials right!

(Even "Robot Chicken" got it right.... am still looking for that clip).

Gimme a few mins.. I have... an Idea!

Victory is Mine! (Thank James for the "Edit" feature).

A little coarse, but pretty funny anyhow.

(James... if you find it offensive, feel free to yank... but I think we should be OK, just some mild cussing, anything major is bleeped out).

Man, those look nothing like TM! I can't believe they would do such a horrible job. Where's the team ring, Tigers cap, watch, sunglasses???

The "copy" in the Branson museum still looks like Disco Dude to me. The bottom one looks okay, but you have Tom Selleck in a tropical setting leaning against a palm tree, so why the Tuxedo?

According to this review, the Movieland Wax Museum (Buena Park, CA - closed in 2005) was much better than the Hollywood one in terms of wax figure quality.

That's a good question. I'm not really sure.

What the?? LOL! "Look at me. I'm T.C. flying a helicopter. Whop-whop-whop-whop". :)

It's supposed to be Paul Mitchell from Three Men and a Little Lady, at least that's what the little paper plaque says at the bottom. It's been a long time since I've seen the movie, but I don't recall him going to any tropical beach setting! It appears that they have created some sort of Mitchell/Magnum hybrid scene. :?

The bottom one definately looks more like TS than the other two, but to my eyes, it still doesn't look anything like him. Also, the "palm tree" he is leaning on looks more like a slimey tentacle from some sort of sea monster.
"But Higgins, I can explain."

Do we need to take up a collection to get them a belt, hat and ring???Lose the sweater. Why wear an aloha shirt and carry a sweater?
I'm gonna make it, Dad.
