Episodes set in the past

#1 Post by Bob Gnuheart »

Have been watching DVD's and my mind started thinking of scenes from episodes set in the past. Not sure if I remember them all, but maybe you all can help.....

--Rick and TC pretend to assault Magnum for the benefit of a lady's fantasy ("Black Orchid", maybe)

--Magnum is driving an old Ferrari, TC is a pilot who is mistaken for a boxer in a bar (?)

--Show opens in a warehouse from the 1940's, Icepick is there. Maybe cuts back to the present at some point (?)

--Magnum is a PI from the past, Rick is a priest ("Murder by Night"?)

Which episodes? Any others set in the past?

Thanks so much

This is why I bought up the wikipedia project :) :)

Ok, so the episodes are as follows...

1. Black Orchid
2. Flashback
3. AAPI
4. Murder by Night (haven't seen this but judging from the guide....)

Flashback was a good one!

Well, it depends on what you consider set in the past....

Lest We Forget spent some time back in 1940's Hawaii

Foiled Again, somewhat (for Higgins)

Letter to a Duchess had some flashbacks

Plus, there we're all the Vietnam episode flashbacks.

But, I think you pretty much nailed it!

Most of "Holmes is where the Heart is" takes place in the past (as related by Higgins)

Portions of "Dream a Little Dream.."

"Birdman of Budapest" had a scene from the past.
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

isn`t that just priceless??!! :D My son quotes that from time to time and it makes me always laugh (he uses this on me when he wants something or when I am mad with him  )
Sometimes I get so lucky, even I don`t believe it (TSM)

"Autumn Warrior" has a flashback scene of Higgins battling three Japenese soldiers in Malaysia. His flashback character looked kind of like Val Kilmer (Doc Holiday) from Tombstone.

Also to add to the list is the fifth season's 'Let Me Hear The Music', which is similar to 'Lest We Forget' in that it uses father and son to play parts in the past and present.

The list would also be considerably longer if all of the 'Nam flashbacks were included.
