That doesn't look like a place where there is working being done, or like they plan to do any.... :-/
How can a Magnum reboot be Magnum without THAT place. It was the fifth main character on the show.

Have always said the same thing...the estate is as much a character in the original as any of the "players".Kevster wrote:That doesn't look like a place where there is working being done, or like they plan to do any.... :-/

Thank you so much, Sam... looks like the same article. I updated my post with screen shots of the actual article. I subscribe to Pacific Business News so it came up for me and at first didn't realize it wouldn't come up for others.Sam wrote:

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
So since the slabs/foundation are remaining I suppose the new house (?) will have the same footprint?
This is so sad!!!

I wonder if they're going to salvage anything or just demolish. It would be a good time to hop the fence I doubt if they would do anything.Rembrandt's Girl wrote:So since the slabs/foundation are remaining I suppose the new house (?) will have the same footprint?

Just watched both HNN & KITV live streams and no stories from them.Sam wrote:I checked an didn't see anything on any Honolulu TV station
HNN is starting their 5:30 broadcast now...
Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)
There may be a number of reasons why they'd keep the slabs. Jupiter Island has some unique rules for permitting, and it may be the same here. Keeping the original footprint, possibly with the addition of some new ground level space, may prevent impact fees, some environmental regulations, SETBACK CHALLENGES (most likely factor), and/or infrastructure requirements.
Well, I won't have to go to Hawaii now. Such a shame, but not really surprised.
