The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Wow the bottom 10 is harder than the top 10:
Murder by Night
Kiss of the Sabre
On the Fly
The Love-for-sale Boat
Two Birds of a Feather
I Witness
Holmes is Where the Heart is
Novel Connection
Smaller Than Life
Paniolo

Honorable mention is LA - Dana Delany is so annoying!! She almost ruined it. Well, almost. I quite enjoyed Out of Sync. She just was not right for our Magnum!!

Ok - while I was at it, 10 favorite....This was hard just to pick 10!
Memories are Forever
The Little Girl Who
Did You See the Sunrise
Way of the Stalking Horse
On Face Value
Paper War
Tropical Madness
Operation Silent Night
Home from the Sea
Innocence...A Broad

Damn I love this show!

Maggiepoole, you and I are on the same page with these shows. I will further say my favorites are definately from the first three seasons and only a select few from the rest (ok more than a few but there are more clinkers in my opinion numbering more than ten in the later years). For some reason Tropical Madness is one that I can watch over and over again. It is my go to episode if I cant think of one to watch. I really dont know why. My second go to is Memories.

A "go to" MPI episode. I love it! :)

Maggie, you seem to have an error in your "Bottom 10" list. For some reason you have mistakenly put down "Holmes Is Where the Heart Is". ;)

It sure is interesting how different people see things differently.

I Witness might be in my top 10, rather than the bottom 10. I love the off beat takes on the characters in the different point of view.

I also like Going Home and Let me Hear Music.

And Murder by Night wouldn't even sniff my bottom ten. I really like the episodes that shows the characters in non typical situations. Deja Vu comes to mind. Just think If Magnum were made after Buffy, might we have a musical episode?

Magnum on Sax, Rick plays Guitar, Tanaka on Drums, TC lead vocals, and Higgins, er... he directs I guess. :)

Still working on my top/bottom list

Tropical Madness and Black On White are two that I usually use to introduce someone to the show. To me, they both represent vintage Magnum P.I.

Tropical Madness never losses it's appeal. I laugh EVERY time I watch it.

Rick: She isn't even Thomas' type and you know it
TC: What did she stop breathing or something

A midget or dwarf, a sumo wrestler - how can you go wrong!

I am not standing here in my underwear. (hum I really need to take a screen cap of that one for my desktop).

The Gentleman's code.
TM: Higgins that was a bit of alright.
Higgins: Don't hand me that bloody understatement, I was marvelous!

Yep, I have watched it a few times. They just don't make TV like this any more!

My least favorites are usually the ones that have less TS in them - i.e. Birds of a Feather. What was up with this episode? Did we really need that story line in the middle?

I find it funny that some of you guys have Adelaide. The sensible shoes and smile. I guess I am just a sap and love the ending. The kindest eyes I have ever seen. *sigh*

Birds of a Feather was a spin-off attempt, which was not picked up by the networks. If I am not mistaken, this was the kernel of an idea that became "Tales of the Gold Monkey".

Also, I kind of liked Adelaide too.
