I am 100% positive that that one is from "Under World" in season 5, right after TC drops off the "honeymooners" on Maui and before he picks up the package (subsequent to his being shot down and crashing).
Doc, thanks for the ID!

I'm positive it's from Season Six. Remember though, most of the shots in each title sequence are not actually from the season in question. And often, the new shots that are added are actually from the previous season.

Ah, you're right.

I was confusing the situation and flip-flopped it.

"Pic P" is from "I Witness" (Season 4).
The answer is obvious, old man. Logic is irrelevant. It's simply Tropical Madness. (J.Q. Higgins)

Season Six is up, which makes this complete (until Season Seven is out on DVD, anyway).

Once again, a big thank you to everybody for helping out!

I actually have one last ID needed:

Pic Q

My initial thought was Squeeze Play, but now I'm not so sure. And I don't know why. :?

Oops, I'm not quite done yet. I forgot about the original title sequence from Season One (episodes 3-11), which aired during the original broadcasts only.

Shots from the original Season One title sequence that I can't ID:

Pic R
Pic S
Pic T
Pic U

Pic T is from China Doll, with TC upset that ferrying Magnum around has cost him some business. Pic R is also from China Doll, as Magnum leaves Mai Ling at her grandfather's place(?).

Pic U is from No Need To Know, as Magnum and Rick meet with the secret service agents. Incidentally, this scene also provided the series' commercial "bumper", which was used throughout the original run. This was a still of Magnum at the bar, with an American flag visible behind him (along with the "Magnum P.I." graphic onscreen). It would appear during commercial breaks with Tom Selleck narrating something like, "Magnum will be right back after a pause for station identification." (The publicity still never actually appears in the episode, though.)

Circumtances of Pic N

#28 Post by bbert73 »

The circumstances of Pic N are as follows, I think. I don't remember where TC and Magnum are going but Magnum is waiting for TC to pick him up in the helicopter. Magnum and Higgins are on the lawn talking about something or another, and TC is coming in for a landing on the grounds. Well, as usual, Higgins goes ballistic when he sees the chopper landing on the lawn and says something like, "OH MY GOD, how many times have I told TC not to land that wretched thing on the grounds"! After TC lands, Magnum and TC get in the helicopter and take off. After they take off, Higgins is still screaming at them and TC makes a comment like, "I think the little guy is going to have a heart attack" and they both start laughing while they are looking down at Higgins (Click, the picture is taken). I'm 95% sure of this but feel free to correct anything I got wrong.

Not sure where this is from....

And digging way back into Season Four's "A Sense of Debt"....

We said goodbye to "Higgins the Conductor" and two clips that have been used since Season One - "Detective Calvin" and "Nuuanu Pali Drive".

I WANT to say "The Kona Winds, but it could technically be from any number of episodes its so generic.

Whats odd is that for "Resolutions", it goes back to the pre-season 8 credits.
