Tigers' revival

#1 Post by Jean-Claude Fornier »

The best periods for Magnum's favorite baseball team were in the early 1900's, in the 30's, early years after WWII, and during Magnum TV serie (especially in 1984).

Tanaka was often joking about the Tigers up and downs, but no doubt he would have joked a lot about their poor performances during the 90's and early 2000's :
43 wins for 119 losses (.265) in 2003 (worse ever season in Tigers history)
55 wins for 106 losses (.342) in 2002 (4th worse ever season)
53 wins for 109 losses (.327) in 1996 (3rd worse ever season)

But since 2006, Detroit Tigers are back on track !
In 2006, they reached the final of the World Series
In 2007, they ended with a good .543

Could Tigers' revival coincide with Magnum's revival ? (Magnum, the movie, Magnum, the DVDs, etc..)
The movie could be more realistic if the story takes place nowadays with Magnum supporting a team of winners !

Sorry JCF, I think its just coincidence between the Tigers revival and the Magnum revival

Good management and our farm system finally paying dividends for our beloved Tigs!
