CR:
If that link is supposed to take you to a vid of Elmo sitting in the guesthouse playing the song mentioned, it doesn't work for me. I looked for that vid myself and gave up in fairly short order as it didn't seem to be available, but that IS what my quote was intended to bring to mind.

It'd be nice to just get an update, even if it's confirmation that the project never got started or has been abandoned, or better yet, that it's in the works.

Curiousity is a killer!

Don't wanna sound negative...but it seems like BK is kinda MIA!

Guess this project got abandoned, postponed, or is in the works with nothing to report....?

All of us know that having a "team ring" is not a "critical" matter, or one that even matters a little...just one of those things some of us like to have around as support for one of our passing "passions", or whatever you catagorize your interest/love/obsession with the show and/or it's characters to be. At least for me.

As a kid, I had my Roy Rogers stuff, as a teenager, my Elvis/Beatles/rocknroll stuff, and there have been other "obsessions" for me in adulthood. I like Pontiac Fiero's and at one time had 13 of them....believe it or not! Now I have two or three, one nice one that I keep in the garage, and a couple at my shop for parts and/or possible restoration. Also have one nice chassis that I plan to turn into a 308 replica, and have been collecting parts/supplies for about a year now. Point is, I like what I like and I like Magnum PI, and at the physical level, enjoy having "things" around that put me in that familiar place of feeling a connection with the object of the obsession.

I have a COL ring that I'm fairly happy with, though it's not a duplicate of what was worn by the cast. It put me out less than $25, so pretty happy about that, but would also like to have a closer to the original replica. So when it was announced that there would be one made available here, I was on board. Guess it's just not going to happen, and as I said, it really doesn't matter one way or the other. I'm just the kinda guy that believes a man has his word, and not much else in the end. If you are not good for your word, it's debatable if you would be good for allot of other things. Like I said, just my own personal slant from years of living it.

Sooooo.......anyway............anybody got the most recent prices from Rockin Robbie? I got a price list from him some time ago, but was way more than I was willing to spend, although his rings do look pretty amazing. Or alternatly, anybody got a line on where to get a better duplicate for reasonable prices? Before I got the one I have now, I actually drew up a sketch and took it to a local jeweler who does custom work and priced how much he would want to do it. He liked my drawing :D and said he could work directly from it, but in gold (and he wouldn't do it in anything else, or so he said) quoted me around $2,000, which I suppose is in line, but I've never priced any kind of jewelry before, (other than my wedding rings, over 40 years ago!), so really don't have a clue as to what is realistic and what isn't, but that's waaay more than I would EVER spend on a ring, custom or otherwise! I'm in the less than $100 catagory with under $50 being the ideal!

So I've ranted enough for now and really need to get to work, so if anybody has a line on realisticly priced replica team rings, I'd appreciate your sharing the info.

Thanks & HAGO! :magnum:

(edited cause I dunt spell gud)
