I always assumed that it was actually Coors and that the prop dept just changed the 'r' to a 'p' with a sharpie or something. That's how it looks to me anyway. Nowdays it's called Coors Original and still has the gold colored label. My cheap beer of choice is Coors light and I've gotten in the habit...
