Re: Little Girl Who (7.7)

My guess is, the people after her wanted to fully purge the people close to the General as well, fearing she might have information.

Re: Fragments (5.6)

 Admittedly, someone dead six months, unless exceptional conditions preserved him, would look far worse than shown in the episode. :P Some minor trivia: Samantha Eggar and Kenneth Mars previously guest-starred in the Columbo episode "The Bye-Bye Sky High I.Q. Murder Case", although they never i...

Re: L.A. (2) (7.2)

Hi BK :)
Luckily, the UK Blu-ray release has the above scene fully intact. A helpful user posted torrents from it a while back. Here's the full version of "L.A.". :D

Re: Summer School (6.13)

I believe that's a reference to the Blue Jays and the Tigers' famous rivalry back in the day. From Wikipedia: The Detroit Tigers are the Blue Jays' geographic and traditional rival, dating back to the 1980s, when the teams were AL East contenders. The Tigers moved to the AL Central in 1998, and the ...

LOL!

I'm guessing T.C. doesn't have to point to maps all that often, so he just grabbed the first thing lying around. :P

Re: Little Girl Who (7.7)

In regards to the word, its meaning also differed depending on who and where was using it. In the UK, it's historically meant India and its surrounding area. I don't think most people consider it as bad as the "N" word, but it's been used by white people and old advertising to stereotype (especially...

Re: Oahu leg of my Hawaii trip

I really wanted to go to the estate, but we didn't have a rental car and the highway it's on wasn't on any bus route we knew of. Originally we had also planned to go to the Sea Life Park, but the cost for each person (and there were four of us) had gone up since when my parents visited. Our place on...

Oahu leg of my Hawaii trip

I'm not entirely sure which forum to stick this in, but I thought the fellow members can catch it easier here. :) So I just got back from my ten-day trip, with the first two and a smidge days on Oahu (the remaining eight on Kauai), and here are the best pics I took of those first two days. :magnum: ...

Re: How old is the average Magnum Maniac?

D'aw :)

I'll be 24 at the end of this month, but I watch mostly older shows anyway. :P

To add to the European popularity, my brother's stay in Sweden in 2013 had him and my dad see Magnum with subtitles. (Not to mention in-store music over there plays rap music uncensored.)

Re: Magnum on Blu Ray!

Huh, ok. Maybe Universal themselves will do the North American release, which would at least show promise of extras and/or a decent series-wide transfer. Here's hoping. :magnum:

Re: The Welcome Wagon

Welcome! :) I should amend my previous thing about my dad seeing TS. He saw him driving a white Porsche (another missed photo op! :P) at a three-way stop off Diamond Head and he and his friends were yelling "Magnum!" I must've remembered it wrong from the last time he told me about it years ag...
