Ahh, very interesting! Who knows, maybe when he was on the island he really did work at the sugar mill. ;)

The pictures in google images sure look like him, especially this one . I think you're right James. I love little touches like this. I guess they actually took the time to plan ahead and then fly him out, just for a little bit of screen time and with no lines for him to say. That's a sign of a quali...

I'm disappointed in myself. I can't remember him, even though I've seen many of the movies he's been in , at least back into the 1930s. My only excuse is that I haven't seen any of them recently. In the show I think it's immediately apparent that he's been in the business a long time though. The sce...

I wish they would fix up the War Memorial Natatorium. It has a great history and purpose, and it fits well into the culture of Oahu with the swimming and the ocean atmosphere. Maybe you pulled into the Waialae Country Club parking lot? I see that it's the next one past the Waialae Beach Park parking...

What do you have against Michael Dudikoff? American Ninja was a force for good! :) Try having the dream again but this time with Magnum and Dudikoff working together. Magnum can do the sleuthing and Dudikoff can protect Magnum from female enforcers. ;)

For what it's worth I recommend them both highly, for those at all interested in such films. Roger Ebert has also written reviews of both films for his Great Movies series. I always enjoy reading his Great Movies reviews after seeing a movie he's included. As they aren't written on a deadline, they'...

I'd love to see C'était un rendez-vous. Any idea where a good quality video can be found? I see there's one on youtube, but it's only 240p.

Anyone ever notice that the mansion used in this episode is used in at least 4 or 5 other episodes that I can remember? The home is known as Haumalu (located here ), and was in four episodes that I know of so far. Combined with Lanihau next door, they were in six episodes that I know of. You can ch...

On last week's Ebert Presents At The Movies, Roger Ebert talked about Peter Falk and two of his films in a short two and a half minute piece.

I'm more bummed out by Peter Falk's passing than any other "celebrity" death in recent years. I first knew him from The Princess Bride , then Colombo which I grew to love (but I haven't seen on tv for a long time now), then I started looking for movies he had been in, and I've never been disappointe...

On this week's PBS show History Detectives , a segment of the show was about engine parts that may or may not have come from the Japanese plane that crash landed on Niihau. The Niihau Incident was mentioned on the first page of this Kapu thread. I was happy to find that History Detectives episodes a...

In regards to the GMC Jimmy that was talked about on page two , I uploaded some additional pictures to an already existing IMCDB page for the Jimmy . At least one guy there is saying that because it's a 4x4 it's actually a T-15 instead of a S-15. I don't know anything about the Jimmy myself, but I j...

I conducted important research and found that the turtle is seen in at least ten episodes. Sometimes a second turtle can be seen on the opposite fence on the right side of the tennis court (it's clear now it's on the fence and not the wall). That one may have been up as long as the one on the left, ...
