Things like this man's death should spur the powers that be they need to get off the butts and make the MPI motion picture w/ one last big case solved by the whole cast, including Mr Hillerman. If they made The Crystal Skull w/ Harrison they could certainly make a MPI movie.

I've always wondered how MPI would have been had it have taken place in Miami instead of Honolulu. Hawaii was still considered fairly exotic in 1980 which is why I think MPI was based in Hawaii.

I've vacationed twice on Oahu & each time by the end of my stay I was ready to get off "the rock" as a local radio station called it there. It really is possible to get by w/out a car there though. Hillerman is still alive as far as I know & living in Houston now I beleive. He must be in not so good shape or he would have appeared somewhere by now.
