Re: Did John Hillerman model Higgin's accent after Prince Charles?
Hillerman had a voice coach early in his career, Fanny Bradshaw, who encouraged him to listen to Laurance Olivier to cut through his Texan drawl/accent. During his stint as Simon Brimmer on Ellery Queen he was asked to alter his voice again, Hillerman apparently again relied on listening to Olivier....

Re: The John Hillerman Thread
The mask wearing becomes political when the federal government begins to mandate that people wear them, no questions asked. The thing is the U.S. is very big on this thing called "individual rights" and "liberties". Or at least has been for the longest time, since its inception. Lately it's been sl...

Re: Tom Writing Memoirs
I would like to know as well. I asked for this book LAST YEAR for Xmas, and we are still waiting. Seems to be taking a lot longer than expected. A good family friend worked for Universal since the late 50's, he started to write a book about his experiences from a pink page runner to an executive on...

I know it's old... I used to collect Corgi Thunderbirds and F1 cars as a kid. If it wasn't answered before, yes that helicopter is a real Corgi produced an Island Hoppers helicopter complete with a TC figure. Very, very rare. Corgi produced like 5 different Magnum, P.I. Ferraris as well. Ferrari, n...

Re: Memories Are Forever (1) (2.5)
The biggest flub is at the end Rick & TC totally vanish during the climax. They disappear you never see them again after they walk backwards up the stairs at the tattoo parlor. They don't run out onto the street after TM is shot. I'm guessing Larry & Roger were at lunch when this part was filmed an...

Re: Need military history experts
Can anybody tell me any info about the insignia on Higgins' old uniform? Here are a few screen grabs from "Memories are Forever." Not very clear but the best I could get. Sleeve. I know the stripes represent a sergeant major. What would the little pin be? It's metallic but I could not make out the ...

Now will someone tell me the story behind the painting of the woman with the beard that hangs in Higgins' study. :? I would like to know that as well. I always thought it was just the painting of the Queen that someone had painted a beard on after one of the Thomas, Orville and Theodore Calvin soir...

Re: Inside the Eve Anderson Estate
Splitting the property makes sense from a financial sense (unfortunately) and it also undermines the Obama Scenario. Although I do wonder why the boathouse wasn't taken down at the same time as it seems to have been in as much disrepair as the main house. I have heard a "confidential rumor" of a pr...

Re: Theory
I do know Universal purchased a Rolex GMT "Pepsi" for use in the movie Stoker Ace. Burt Reynolds used a similar watch in Hooper, however that one was owned by a stuntman who wore it while doing stunts. When it was Burt's turn in front of the camera, the stuntman handed Burt his "Lucky" watch for con...

I offer a slightly altered version: Link Lassie to The Lads. June Lockhart (Timmy's mom) was in "Lest We Forget" from season 1. (I think we've done Lassie before) How about a link to The Beaver (Jerry Mathers)? I like to see this is still going on! Jerry Mathers was in the TV Movie "The Gorl, The G...

Guys, is this a GMC Blazer (full sized) or a GMC Jimmy? http://magnum-mania.com/images/1_8_j_full.jpg ("The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii", January 1981) I've been calling it a Jimmy, but I've had a few people say it is a Blazer. The Jimmy in MPI was 1980 GMC K5 Sierra Classic Jimmy with part time 4 wheel ...
