Re: MM: Info About the New Show?

The good news is that at the current trajectory, you'll only have to worry about adding info. on a season or two of the reboot...

It may end up more footnote than anything.

I buy a series and can only watch on what YOU want me to watch on. Ugh! Guess I'm forced buy a converter and change them all to MP4. Double UGH!! Yes, Apple ...

Re: Magnum on ITUNES!!!!!

I'm waiting patiently for a true B.R., or maybe a non-iTunes HD version at that price. I don't do iTunes anymore.

Re: Jay Hernandez and Twitter

Many of the shows referenced that were in the 70's and 80's weren't political, per se, but the characters had specific principles that came through. The characters may not be perfectly principled, but they had an "ethos" that was relatable. The principles of that era are often considered quaint by t...

Re: Ghost Writer (2.12)

This might have been covered, but the chauffeur/butler guy just happens to make his way onto the estate and into the guest house????? Talk about security lapses. LOL It wasn't the butler/elevator guy (John Lormer). It was some other old guy who worked for the old lady. And Jon Lormer never aged. He...

I bought Larry's book from him directly a few years ago. I wanted Larry to have the money. I don't think I payed all that much.

Autographed and new...

Re: Pilot to Ep2 Ratings and Beyond

I don't know how to find out the production costs, but I imagine that the P&L for TV shows is the same as any other business: more in than what goes out. Outside of JH, the new MPI has a modest budget for the other actors. With The Conners, all the actors had a long history with the show and had not...

Re: So . . .

I wasn't sure where to put this comment but the new MPI has completely renewed my interest in the reruns of the original MPI which is currently being shown by Starz-Encore Classic at 7PM-Central. Even some of the original shows that were not all that memorable are still well produced, directed and ...

Re: Journey 2: Mysterious Island

Actually, the search I referenced was on the forum. I guess I should have been more clear. Thanks for the link though. Makes the point EXACTLY though! The Jungle Bird was the used throughout 90%+ of the actor's time in the movie. That shirt was a deliberate move by someone in the production to make ...

Journey 2: Mysterious Island

A search didn't turn up any hits on variations of the movie title, but I wanted to point out that Luis Guzmán wears an MPI "Jungle Bird" shirt throughout the movie. From the moment he pops up on screen through almost all of the movie... And, no I won't compare him and Jay Hernandez, though Guzman ha...

To add: I hope you all don't feel my additions to these arguments are just making it more complex. I truly believe, and my entire educational career as a secondary and post-secondary history teacher is based on the premise that these critical historical moments are highly complex. Many people try t...

Re: New MPI Reboot Gimmick Idea..

I would say that TS meant that wholeheartedly, but the calculus changes when there is an active reboot that will likely be struggling into a second season. Can't replace JH really. They'd have to honor him SOMEHOW. The thing is: the current gimmick hasn't taken off. Since the premiere, it's been pre...

Re: Season 1 Episode 4: Six Paintings, One Frame (1.4)

I'm wondering if LM even has the ability to do it now? From what we're all heard, and the little bit he's been seen, he looks to be recovering from a stroke. If he's got physical challenges, his part might be freakishly limited. I have to say that I think the only reason they would hire him is that ...
