Re: Magnum, P.I. to Hallmark channel!

Not only did they trim the series for more commercials, but it looks like they did it to run commercials of , ugh, Hallmark Channel shows..............I do like the picture quality on their HD channel and they are running another marathon on MLK day.......

Re: Season 2 Episode 13: Mondays Are for Murder (2.13)

It was okay, I did find the goat amusing but overall the episode just didn't have any emotion of some of the other episodes. CBS is still winning Fridays nights with H-50, Magnum and Blue Bloods....... Blue Bloods being the best of that bunch. This past Friday was a rare night when I was home and h...

Re: Magnum, P.I. to Hallmark channel!

Is anyone watching. I must say that despite my worries that Hallmark would only show Christmas and/or deep love and romantic plots they are doing a good job. The picture clarity is the best I have ever seen on a channel. My only gripe is they butcher the credits to show highlights of other shows and...

Re: Reality Check and Uncle Tom

When General William T. Sherman published the second edition of his memoirs, he wrote in the preface that he had gotten complaints from old army guys who wanted to argue with him about stuff he had written in the first edition. His response was words to the effect of, “These are my memoirs. If you ...

Re: Reality Check and Uncle Tom

I'm a baby boomer yet I still knew who the movie and television stars of my parents were and couldn't imagine not knowing the classic films and TV shows, too many to list here. My son is 22 and in College his 2nd year when he told me he was taking a Cinema class I was thrilled beyond belief as I ima...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

Forgive me for this question but was The Estate registered in Eve Anderson's name or was it still in the Cox family trust? The property is going to become whatever it becomes now but I sure don't have as much desire to go to Oahu again just to see our Mecca.

Re: Season 2 Episode 12: Desperate Measures (2.12)

I thought the Magnum episode was better than the H-50 episode but that is mainly because I think H-50 has too many main characters now, and that is with Scott Caan only appearing in about 1/3 of the shows .......There were just too many plot holes in both episodes for me to rate either very high and...

Hi Christian, No apologies needed, news to me and I'm sure everyone here -thanks for posting it! The nightmare just gets worse......first the main house was flattened and now split into 3 lots!!! I believe Eve had a few developers interested who wanted to subdivide it, but she stayed clear of them ...

Re: Your Favorite Christmas Movies and TV Episodes?

Watched a New Year's episode of Route 66 today. "A Fury Slinging Flame" has Leslie Nielsen as a scientist who's convinced his friend in Russia has been sending him coded messages that the Soviets are going to nuke us New Years Day. He gets some people to take refuge in Carlsbad Caverns with a plan ...

I never knew he was gone. I am one that enjoys the reboot for what it is and would never be offended by any member questioning my taste. Heck, somehow Conch is still a friend despite that, if we can get along we all can....

Re: Season 2 Episode 11: Day I Met The Devil (2.11) Part 1

Magnum comes face to face with Ivan in this episode, but Ivan gets away for another day/ another episode. They shot a scene at the Mark's Estate which was a nice surprise. They also did a quick shot of Magnum driving over the bridge to Ford Island and commenting on Pearl/USS Arizona which wa...

The Irishman on Netflix is a must. The performance by Joe Pesci is some of the best acting I have ever seen.........
