I think of this as a fantasy episode. I mean which one of us Magnum Maniacs wouldn't love to take a class taught by Thomas? And to end up going out on a "field trip" to solve a "real live" case?! That's a MPI fan's dream come true! I enjoy being "part of the class" every time I watch this one.

This is one of our family favorites. Watching Luther bluster his way through the search for and rescue of Blanche and "The Butler" is hilarious! This episode also includes one my boys' favorite lines when Luther says to Magnum: "Sorry! I forgot my loin cloth and spear!"

The best part of this episode was the "digging" scene. It's my son's favorite and a great moment for Magnum, T.C. and Rick!

Just want to echo what most have said about this episode . . . a real rip-off! It might not have been so bad if the pilot characters had been likeable, but they couldn't hold a candle to TM and Co. I give this episode a double karate chop!
