Im cycling through episodes right now but im pretty sure it directly contradicts no matter where it appeared unless im forgetting a storyline that places him out of tidewater then later back in.

I think that perhaps a twist on the sequence of events would be kinda cool, such as Magnum(selleck) overseeing the estate while a new "magnum" moves in and creates a role reversal

Here is a new inconsistency to investigate..I cannot recall the episode but in a narration in an episode after season six Magnum states, "my Mom and I moved out of Tidewater when I was very young..." contradicting his implied graduation from Tidewater High in season 6 "Going Home."

Any input??

The garage that Magnum actually references is in season seven, in the episode is "photo play." The garage is Lefty's not Shorty's.

I loved the parts of Higgins/Magnum as well....I kind of wanted to throw up with John Hillerman's make up to make him look like his father...those were some nasty jowls and boils....
