For many years I had thought these rooms didn't quite fit with the estate detailing, but I thought you might have some information proving otherwise, like Rick Romer's blog. I honestly haven't had time to work my way completely through his blog. I've probably missed some useful information about the...

Ah, yes. I forgot about the pool table that was seen in the Pilot Movie! And you are right, that is the inside of the real Anderson Estate main house. James, I don't think this is an actual interior from the Anderson Estate. Nothing looks remotely like the detailing of the rest of the house. It doe...

If you look through the zip file you can see a few details that show it is the actual interior. One is the valance over the curtains in front of the French doors. Thay have a particular shape and detailing that match pictures from the episode "The Second Shot". A second is the interior door detailin...

Rubber Chicken, This is awesome. I've never seen the episode. This is the first time they have shown the room in the ell nearest the gate to the beach. It appears to be some kind of den or library decorated with swords and knives. There are basically two large rooms in the ell plus a small room next...

Did you ever get to see the Sketchup model? Yes I did! I've had lots of fun flying around your re-creation of the estate. I'd love to see an updated version. Cool. I've sent James a few updates. The latest from two weeks ago has the basement added and I've been playing with adding foliage. The plan...

Styles, Thanks for adding the picture and link. Did you ever get to see the Sketchup model? Did you notice in the tab called "residential" how they list the main house as just one story! I mentioned it once before and you joked about it. The gate house is listed as two story, but the boathouse isn't...

There's most certainly a living area upstairs. The tax records list it as one bedroom and one bath. What the tax record drawing also shows is that what they call the unfinished basement (the boat storage area) is not the entire bottom floor. The drawing shows the storage area, as shown in the episod...

Re: Sam

Thanks again. :) I have had this obsession about the guesthouse/boathouse as you can tell. I looked up the Anderson estate on the Honolulu Tax Assessor website and got the dimensions of the boathouse and some basic info, it is listed as a one bedroom, one bath. The "main" living area is pretty smal...

Re: Blueprints from Bureau of Planning

Hallo, I am following since a wile his topic. Maybe it was discussed earlier in this forum, but did someone ever try to get the blueprints from the city hall, bureau of planning or who ever administers the permitting and building admin? This is possible, though the structure is quite old (1933). Un...

I hear you Kimbosan. I would love to see some photos showing the rear of the main house clearly, but I guess that would require someone to break the law and sneak on the grounds. Dare I dream of getting to see a set of floor plans or elevations. Eve Anderson's relative reclusiveness makes it all the...

Hi Guys, I am hoping someone has some pictures of the interior of the Guest House - Boat House as it stands, I know it was used for external shots but does anyone have any idea of the interior. I know Rick Romer has shots of the set , but I am looking for shots of the inerior of the boat house as I...

I have an '88 VW van, but its the camper version and basic blue. I love that thing, and I bet TC would still be driving his. My wife has a convertible beetle that we drive up and down the coast here in SoCal. That's about as close as I get to MPI. Not that I'm complaining.

McGarrett went through the door from the courtyard in the first picture with the fireplace to his immediate left as he entered. The wall facing him across the room has the two pairs of french doors looking toward the ocean. The one with the arrow in the second picture is one of them and also the one...

You are on top of it Sam! I haven't seen that episode in years, but my memory was not too far off. The other window you mention, along with the door, are already in my model. You can see them in many shots of the estate because they can be seen clearly from the balcony. The window(s) and doors at th...
