And if not in Hawaii, then at least in Las Vegas, eh? I don't think my budget would get me to Hawaii, but I bet I could manage Las Vegas.

Just for the record, TVbytheNumbers show us that Las Vegas was the 18th most recorded show on TiVos for the week that ended 10/28. That's up from #21 the previous week. Link Looks like the MPI reunion may have given LV a slight bump - although whether LV hit a similar spot on realtime viewing is any...

On IMDB.com, if you look under "Company Credits" for Las Vegas, you'll see that NBC produced the first season, and seasons 2 and 3 were produced by NBC-Universal (probably the year that NBC bought Universal). http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0364828/companycredits So very definitely, they could make Las ...

I totally agree with everyone's comments about this show. Except that I think all those swoopy shots of Las Vegas are probably the MOST interesting parts of this show -- at least in an artistic sense. And, of course, apart from the scenes with TS/Cooper. Do ANY of those people in that casino do ANY ...

It was a perfectly awful movie, I'm sorry to say. I simply could not watch it beyond the halfway mark. What a contrived story it tells! Honestly, I thought the best thing about it was Mr. Manetti! I thought he had the most appealing character to play, and he did a great job of it. The rest of the mo...

I was idly surfing through my channels this afternoon, when I happened to check out a movie description, and it listed Larry Manetti as a cast member. The movie, called "Back To You and Me", is playing this afternoon on the Hallmark channel. I double-checked the IMDB listing, and it definitely shows...

I liked the first season of S&S, the one that nobody watched. It was a looser and goosier show than the subsequent seasons, after it got paired with MPI. The Simon brothers lost that way cool vintage Chevy they drove, the theme song during the credits got redone in a more blander version, and the wh...

You can watch the latest episodes on NBC's website. Of course, you need a DSL or cable broadband internet connection. This is not an option if you only have dial-up. If you positively, absolutely need to see it on your TV screen, (after all, lounging on the couch and eating popcorn while watching th...

IslandHopper, there is one solution to your spell-checker problem, if you're willing to switch to another browser. Firefox, which is a free browser, offers an automatic spell check feature in their latest version. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ The spell-checker works by underlining misspelle...

I think that the difference between an $8,000 watch and a $46 knockoff isn't lost on anybody. I say, if you want a "Magnum PI" watch, and don't have the $8K for one, then buy the knockoff! At least that way, if you lose it, it won't break your heart.

Well, a lot would depend on how well Magnum knew French, and how long ago did he use it regularly, and how much time did he spend speaking it. I took French in high school, but that was 30 years ago, and although I'm surprised at how much of it I retained, I can't understand but every 12th word or s...

There's a live chat feature on another BB that I participate in. (I believe it takes java to run it.) However, even though that board has a larger membership (1200) than this one, the chat room is still mostly empty all the time. The chats work best if it's scheduled around a special event, and then...

golfmobile, I totally agree with you. Like others have mentioned, I tend to ignore, or even fast forward, through the parts of the show that he's not in. I'm even thinking that I'll only stick around until the MPI reunion episode. Outside of TS's character, and the manicurist character, the rest see...

But I'm already getting tired of the pregnancy part of the plot. The puking is certainly played for laughs, but it's not leaving much else for those two characters to do. I like the hyper former owner and the black dude's competence more. It was very nice to see TS back on the small screen, and I'l...
