Re: Dream come true
Awesome!!!! Thanks for sharing! There has been several mentions of sea level rise and the estate, but it doesn't appear to be the issue when looking at your photos. It looks like things are about the same. The ancient square concrete drainage feature in the tidal pool looks to display about the same...

Re: Reviews
I don't think it was about the evolution of each character over time, but that the actor hadn't really found what they wanted to do with the character. Besides LM's bad Bogart, TC is the obvious character change for me. He went from edge and street to more moderate throughout the first season. JH di...

Re: Friday Night Lights
I just finished watching this show on Prime yesterday. I mostly liked it, but some of it was so far-fetched. Tammy's super-duper career after not having a job for years was laughable and the constantly changing ages of the kids was frustrating. The last season was pretty boring, but I stuck with it...

Re: Reviews
Not to bang the drum too loudly, but do the reviewers watch more than the first two episodes? Every show needs to find its footing and the episodes so far are admittedly a mix - some are harder to swallow, but some have been pretty solid for a new show. As always, JMHO, but I can think of at least ...

Re: Black on White (3.6)
I think I have an answer as to how Edwin "suddenly" had a spear at the climax. He never did! Clearly, the imagined Mau Mau threw an imagined spear at him. Edwin, in his fevered delusion, thought he was holding and aiming the spear at Higgins, but he was either miming it or clutching some other obje...

Thanks for the update. I'm curious if it's worth the hassle, and you're the best barometer right now.

Re: MIAMI VICE
Miami Vice is running 11PM+/- nightly on Encore now. I guess since they've halted MPI, they switched 80's shows. They're currently 7-8 episodes into Season 1.

Re: Re:
I am sorry, but I really didn't enjoy this episode very much. Maybe I had expected it to be more like the real Indiana Jones and Selleck would be more like Harrison Ford. I havenät seen this episode for years though, but I recall I didn't particularly liked it. Wasn't it to much humour, too funny? ...

Re: Where to find new red shirt?
It's sad that I can I.D. all three of the episodes where those redshirts bought it. The Apple Arena The Changeling Live long and prosper, Higgy baby. In case you need a ST TOS refresher, they just restarted syndication on BBC America again on Saturday. All day, every Saturday, for at least two more...

Re: Any boaters?
I have been boating since Age 7, and grew up boating in Jupiter, FL (noted above, referencing the two teens who disappeared). We almost never had flares on board, but we had everything else the USCG recommended at the time. For a boat under 20', we were comfortable in the local rivers, the inlet wh...

Re: Any boaters?
My second boat was a 17' fish and ski. I spent a lot of time in it but eventually had to sell as I ran out of time to spend on it. While 17' is a good size, there is a big difference in that and a 21' (or more). I personally wouldn't take mine out beyond 5 or so miles. My advice, and I'm serious......

Magnum PI APPEARS to be Leaving Encore...
I just noted that they are running 8.12 & 8.13 back-to-back today (at 12:04 EST+). The show is not on the daily schedule for Monday and beyond.
It appears they are taking it out of the regular rotation.

Re: A Girl Named Sue (8.7)
Meh... I could do without this one. Not a Burnett fan at all. I was a Carol Burnett Show fan (syndicated "& Friends" skit show anyway) back in the 80's, but I concur on her as a guest on the show. Kind of a throw away episode in some ways. The previous one was marginally better, but still clunky by...

Re: Pilot to Ep2 Ratings and Beyond
So, to sum up, I think you have to mix things up early on so your audience doesn't get complacent and you need an actor with a ton of charm to make Magnum work. Pretty much but your post leaves out the most vital aspect for continued group success: You need a talented supporting actor who can serve...
