Re: Magnum P.I. vs. Miami Vice - The Ultimate Battle

Like comparing apples to oranges. I enjoy both shows, but I don't think they really go together well at all. I prefer MPI by far over Miami Vice - not saying I don't enjoy Vice, but I love MPI. I think the reason is because MPI seemed to me to be a show about the value of friendship and loyalty. The...

Re: Larry Manetti on ..........

Perhaps a small inspiration for MPI's season two's "The Woman on the Beach?"

Looking for Lost Bellisario Gems

So, my wife and I have had Netflix for roughly a couple of years now, and I continue to laugh at myself at how often I scroll back in time to find tv shows I enjoy. I was born in 1973, and as I watch a lot of the shows I remember fondly from my childhood, I am amazed at how many Donald Bellisario ha...

Re: How effective were The Lads?

A comment by Digger Doyle comes to mind concerning the lads - "Effective guard dogs would've torn any intruder to shreds by now." I'm paraphrasing, so I'm sure I'm off there on the quote. But, I came to think that the lads' real job for a while there were to be loyal friends for Higgins, who seemed ...

Re: Where We Find Thomas Today

Thanks for all the replies already. I had so much fun writing the scripts. I was suffering from writer's block when I worked on them, and doing those scripts kinda gave me a break from some other projects, which are again moving forward. Sometimes I just have to do something strange and crazy to get...

Where We Find Thomas Today

I have really been enjoying reading the forum posts where fellow fans speculate where Thomas has been the last few decades. I always hesitate to "toot my own horn," but after finishing watching through the episodes, I just had to write out where time takes Thomas. I came up with four tv scripts (my ...

Re: Higgins' Typewriters

I am so going to LOVE this forum site. Thank you to everyone for the replies. The screenshots captured by the forum members put me right on track. I now believe the typewriter we most often see Higgins clacking away at is a Royal Magic Margin FP typewriter produced during the sixties. I wonder if th...

Higgins' Typewriters

So thrilled to be a part of the MPI forum. I have become a huge fan recently after rediscovering MPI on Netflix. Anyway, here is my question. I am a very big geek who also enjoys collecting typewriters now and again, and I am curious if any of you MPI fans out there recognize any of the typewriters ...
