This custom Bulova Accutron watch was a Christmas gift given to the cast/crew by Tom Selleck in 1986 and is one of my favorite MPI treasures.

Here is a great MPI crew item (one of the best in my opinion). This belt buckle was a gift for the cast/crew and was presented by Tom Selleck upon wrapping filming of the final episode. The buckle is a real beauty and was made by renowned western artist/sculptor Al Shelton.

I finally got around to taking some pics and figuring out how to post them. Here are a couple of crew hats and a crew t-shirt from the ’88 season. I have another crew shirt from an earlier season as well as another crew hat; however these items are not here at my Michigan home so pics of those will ...

Star Wares has a nice looking website and seems kinda legitimate, however I dont see anything that shows how the items are authenticated (except their word). I dont think I would ever buy a shirt that was claimed to be screen used without more proof than a COA which could be worthless. You would thi...

I watched the Clint Eastwood classic "High Plains Drifter" recently and was suprised to see John Hillerman in the movie as a bootmaker/shopkeeper. I havent watched the movie in ages and didnt remember him being in this role. His western accent reminded me of the MPI episode where he played one of hi...

I'm pretty sure Selleck wore the type of strap pictured above at one point. The link for the pic of him checking his watch is (IMO) a waterproof leather strap that I have also noticed in some scenes of the early seasons! I would think that with all of the swimming he did, the strap had to be replac...

Thanks for the extra info, Jake. The strap you see in the pic is rubber, by the way. I didn't figure your band to be rubber given the patern. Maybe it is original afterall? What kind of clasp does it have? I have looked at a lot of pics/stills of Magnum wearing his SQ30 and even though it is pretty...

Hey, do you guys know of any other place I might look for Chronosports? I mean, I'll keep checking eBay, but it would be interesting to know if there are any other potential sources out there. Any thoughts? --Sammy Sammy, If your interested in owning a non-sea quartz 30 Chronosport I might have som...

Jake, you are right; the numbers on the bezel are different. The number 4 is a giveaway. Looking at the back case cover, I see the number 23501. Is that like the model number? Here's the one I bought: [img]http://i.ebayimg.com/08/!B6mW+OwBWk~$(KGrHqZ,!k8Ey+jCy3+9BM)]4eHsDdQ~~_12.JPG[/img] I really ...

After looking again at the pics of the watch on ebay I believe the bezel has been replaced as well. The numbers and hash marks look a little too big/thick compared to my watch. I have sent my watch to Chronoserv over the years for an ocassional tune-up and they have offered to replace some parts on ...

Dakota Ellison is correct, that was an original sea quartz 30 with aftermark replacement hands. The early models just had "quartz" written on the face (and 30 ATM engraved on the back of the case). Later models were changed to "Sea Quartz 30" on the dial. All versions are rare, but the early "quartz...

Neat! Got any pics of the shirts and hats? Would love to see them.
I would be happy to take some pics of my magnum gear to share with the group. Is the easiest way for me to open something like a photobucket account, upload the photos, and post a link to them? Any suggestions would be apprec...

Nice one, I hope they sent you the actual shirt and not just the pic! I dont recall ever seeing that shirt before. I have managed to pick up some neat MPI crew items over the years myself. I have crew t-shirts from 87 & 88, a couple of different crew hats, and the 86 crew watch that TS gave out for ...

The View is total garbage. If they try the lefty attack on TS again maybe Elisabeth Hasselbeck will chime in and tell the rest of the hags to stick it.
