Re: Moonlighting

Looks possible, but I'm not sure that's it. All those streets look similar in the area, and after 30 years its hard to tell.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: Moonlighting

I know its a bit of a longshot, but I'm wondering if anyone can identify the address of the dumpy residency apartment ("hovel" as David puts it) the deaf guy was living at in the episode Yours Very Deadly (season 3, episode 4). Its at 17:30 or so, in the episode... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I6...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

I grew up in San Diego, so Simon and Simon was naturally one of my favorite shows. This was the only show at the time set in San Diego, which I always found odd considering the proximity of the city to Hollywood (2 hours) and the scenic nature of it, not to mention the ability to do Mexico related p...

Alice

I have been watching Alice episodes lately (the 70s-80s sitcom). I hadn't seen the show since its original run, when I was a little kid. It would be hard to explain to anyone under 35, but there really were lots and lots of these kinds of places in America in the 70s. They only "diners" now are high...

Re: Season 5 General Discussion

I like season 5, its one of my favorites (along with season 2). Excepting Kiss of the Sabre, most of the season was solid, and some episodes were excellent. All-in-all one of the best seasons IMO, though I know that's not a popular viewpoint on here.

Re: Kiss of the Sabre (5.11)

If this wasn't the worst episode in the entire series, I can't recall anything worse. I know it was supposed to be a farcial episode, but it didn't even succeed as a farce. No character development, no real plot, nothing..... Just a waste... :( I agree . . . I should probably try it again but this ...

Re: Thank Heaven for Little Girls and Big Ones Too (1.4)

Saw this on Cozi TV last night. What fun. My wife walks in and goes, "Hey, that's the girl from Who's the Boss ." To which I said, "No, Gimme a Break ." I scare myself by knowing these things sometimes. :) My wife went on to say she remembered watching this episode while babysitting when it origina...

Re: Mac's Back (5.3)

...The one minor point I didn't like about this part of the episode was that Magnum was allowed to drive the Ferrari when, admittedly, drunk. There were a lot of young drivers that watched the show so for Higgins to, apparently, still allow him to drive was not a good message... Well, there were wo...

Re: Sex symbol now?

It's from Fox News . That should be enough to discourage anyone from reading it. You may as well read the scratchings on the wall of a public toilet. Is this comment appropriate? How is Fox News any more biased than any other news source? They are all biased. One little network with an alleged bias...

Due South

Anyone watch this show back in the day or on DVD? I think it was probably one of, if not the most, ridiculous programs in the history of TV. And I mean that in the best possible way. :D I liked both "versions" (the first two seasons with the "real" (original) Ray Vecchio and the final two seasons wi...

Re: Re:

I agree I gave it a 6.5 the worst rating to date. I've seen it a couple times over the years and I'm re watching randomly and I'm calling this one a flop mid episode lol I just find Jean Claude to be downright dumb and annoying. But I always say that any Magnum even a less than average episode is b...

Re:

This is one of a few episodes in the series where someone says they are going to the restroom to "power their nose". Is this a reference to Carol using cocaine?! Sorry about the fact that I sound like an amature, because I am haha. I was born in 1993, so Magnum PI was far before my time, and I do n...

That's a very good point. There would be a limited pool of acting talent locally. Makes sense.

Re:

... but are there really that many British in Hawaii?! It must be an Oahu thing why they have so many British people. After all, it is not that far from England, only 7,239 miles, or a 14 hour flight. The last time I was in Oahu I met more Brits than Hawaiians....NOT. Its not hard to believe that a...
