Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport
You’re the man. You know it all. I’m here to enjoy Magnum and things like that. Not argue with people who know more than anybody else.

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport
I’m not here to argue. You need to re-read the above post, it was not I talking about bezel insert prices. I bought my 16760 from a verified trusted seller on a watch forum for 20% under the current going rate. Obviously one needs to do their own research on whatever models they are interested in an...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs
Been a fan of S & S for years. I have the first four seasons on dvd but unfortunately Shout decided for seasons 5-8 that they would not include closed captioning....so I will not buy them. Too bad really, I’d love to have them. Great show.

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport
Thanks for pointing out that you can swap for a Pepsi bezel (although I bet they're not cheap). Also good to hear from someone who has had a Steinhart and a Rolex and who still find the Steinhart to be a good watch. Nice to see you were finally able to register to the forum! Any tips on where to pic...

DVD sets
I have all of the dvd sets of Magnum. Unfortunately most of them are the dual sided discs and in season 2 I have one disc which is unplayable on one side. While I would love to buy a Blu-ray set it would have to be captioned or subtitled as I have bad hearing. I just started watching season one and ...

Re: Selleck statement on John Hillerman’s passing
I thought it to be appropriate. He might have said a lot more but you know things are always edited.

Re: Magnum, P.I. film reels/negatives question
I’d pay a few hundred to get a Region A or Free blue ray set that had subtitles and had a great 1080 picture. Maybe one day. Hopefully it won’t be a budget house like MC that can’t be bothered with subtitles. Those cut into the profits ya know.

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport
I bought my Rolex 16760 because of Magnum. It isn’t the exact model he had but very close. The great thing about the Rolex GMT is the ability to change the bezel insert. Mine came with the Coke (red/black) but I’m going to get the Pepsi (red/blue). I bought it for 20% under market value. I did have ...

Re: RIP John Hillerman
My first post here. Longtime fan, longtime lurker, was unable to get past the trivia question to get joined but finally did tonight. Hillerman was absolutely essential to the show. Just as integral as Selleck, in my opinion. I watched episode 4 from season 1 tonight. Obviously I never met him but st...
