Re: Who is Don Luis Higgins? .... (6.19)

A little late, but I'm just now getting into this show. I just watched this episode. At the beginning, they are supposed to be in South America. If you listen to the accents of the king and his daughter, they use the "theta" that is only used in Spain (they say gracias like grathias). Welcome! Ther...

As I recall, that living room set is only seen in this episode and Photo Play. I think of it as the “media room.”

Re: property/seawall article

Wow, Pahonu. Again you're a treasure trove of valuable info. Thanks! You know, if Obama/Nesbitt ever sell this property we can commission you to redo the estate to the way it was originally, down to the very last detail. :D :magnum: There's no one here who knows every nook and cranny of that estate...

Re: property/seawall article

This is a set of my photos from my visit last February. If you scroll down, you get a good shot of the drain, plus a huge piece of rebar bending out from the seawall over by the guest house. Looks like it was pulled out. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2200540 ... 610710183/

Re: property/seawall article

I did a bunch of comparison shots and posted them in one of the threads here last year. I’m too lazy to try to find the post again, but let me link to the same thing that I did on Facebook. This should be publicly viewable: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2200540 ... 170300183/

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

Does anyone know how high the sand is on the outside of the tidal pool versus on the inside? I have been inside the tidal pool, but never outside of it at the back. I would expect the sand would be higher out there?

Re: property/seawall article

There’s a seawall, it’s just short on that side. And the fence rises above it. The photo is pretty blurry.

Re: property/seawall article

“But the sellers of the Waimanalo property found a way to ensure the seawall remained in place for another generation. They asked state officials for something called an easement, a real estate tool that allows private property owners to essentially lease the public land that sits under the seawall....

Re: property/seawall article

When I was there in February, a huge heavy piece of iron had been hauled partway out of the low part of the seawall and bent into a semi-J shape. It was sticking out over the sand. It definitely did not simply fall out of the concrete on its own so I have to wonder what the reason would be for makin...

Re: property/seawall article

With the Obama's moving in, will the locals still be able to enjoy the tidal pool! It doesn't sound too good to me. 1. The Obamas are not moving in. His name is being thrown around as clickbait. I saw one headline that said something like, “Human remains found on property tied to Obama.” You had to...

Re: Tropical Madness (2.7)

Out of nowhere, a question occurred to me. I thought you had to be a member of the KKC (or a guest of one) in order to be there. Yet we see Jennifer sitting in the beach bar part of the club drinking tea. How did she do this without being a member? And if she joined, why doesn’t Higgins (as a board...

I don’t recall TC mentioning that. I do recall Magnum mentioning Rick’s old job in “Curse of the King Kamehameha Club,” but I feel like that’s the only time it happens.

Re: Lest We Forget (1.10)

It is indeed shot on location at the Pearl Harbor visitor center. And you do in fact see both Ford Island and the port apparatus! I've been there twice and the area has changed GREATLY since this was filmed. Here are some comparison shots. Sorry these are a little large... First, here is a shot of R...
