I was sad to hear this...
Probably because I was at the right age at the time Who Framed Roger Rabbit? is the film I always associate him with.
Hook would be another.

Star Wars!
The internet is ablaze with the news that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill are returning to their former roles in the Star Wars saga. I'm quite hopeful the sins of the prequel trilogy will be forever in the past. On a side note, these older guys getting back into the roles that made them...

Re: Chris Evans as Magnum
I think a new actor would likely lose the mo though.
It's too much associated with Selleck... a new guy would need to make the role their own?

I like your review, Conch.
I've not had a chance to see it yet as we have a four month old and getting to the cinema is difficult!
I'm a fan of the Marvel films- especially the Iron Man series.

I'm envious!
It's a struggle to read a novel these days- one or two pages and I'm asleep.

It does seem to be more consistent with some sort of drainage outlet...

Re: The John Hillerman Thread
Wow, great links, ThomasMagnum ! It it just me or does Hillerman actually sound like he was the one living a bit more like Magnum or even Mac than you'd expect... I like to do whatever I want to do when I want to do it. Sometimes for dinner, I feel like a hot fudge sundae. So I go and have a large h...

Re: 4th July real life experience
It's usually so much more complicated than we imagine- especially with regard to apex predators. Not to get too preachy, but this is a pretty good, short (and fascinating) video on how we're only beginning to understand natural diversity and the role of predators: http://sustainableman.org/how-wolve...

Re: 4th July real life experience
Bondtoys.de , he's right about the sharks- very lucky to have survived in those waters. It's powerful to hear someone had that experience and was thinking of a Magnum episode. I have a paralysing fear of sharks- the only place I feel safe surfing is Waikiki. The drop off in Sydney is too much for m...

Ha! I love Hillerman's expression in these photos.
