Re: Adelaide (1.14)

So watching it again, we do see Norman chase Charles out of the stable. Nowadays, if a scene like this happened, we'd have heard Norman make sounds and see more evidence of a trampling, but neither happens in this case. Magnum indeed just finds Charles on the ground outside the stable looking surpr...

Re: Adelaide (1.14)

Horse person here. This episode was so bad in terms of realism that I can't stand to watch it. Literally everything anyone said or did was wrong, wrong, wrong. Would make a great Rifftrax entry. I was going to make a post about all the flubs but it became too depressing. It would have taken very li...

H50's Peter Lenkov is producing the new Magnum picked up by CBS. This link also has a video Tom being honored with the Brandon Tartikoff Legacy Award in Miami Beach:

Re: The John Hillerman Thread

When he came back to Pahonu to film the pilot, John had to have thought, "Hey, this place looks familiar..."

Thank you for the much-needed laugh, Mrs. Higgins!

Jack E. Leonard was in The Disorderly Orderly with Susan Oliver, who was Laurie Crane in "Let Me Hear the Music".

Re: Magnum on Blu Ray!

The cut "Marseilles" scene is where Tanaka and Fornier speak in (unsubtitled) French. Was it cut from the Region 1 DVDs for that reason? Who knows? I think the writer's intention was for them to jibe at Magnum without him totally understanding (even though he was in 'Nam).

Re: Magnum on Blu Ray!

"Ki'i's", to my knowledge, is the standalone syndicated version like on the newer-issued DVDs. As far as I can tell, the Blu-rays in terms of cuts are pretty much the same as the UK DVDs, so "L.A." and "The Man from Marseilles" are uncut. :)

Re: Missing Melody (7.11)

TC has previously denied having any sort of post-traumatic stress - I remember a scene on a beach, I think after a volleyball game, where Magnum tentatively asks if he ever...thinks about that stuff. And TC brushes it off. What a poignant thing, that these friends are so close in so many ways and s...

Here's TS's early B-movie Daughters of Satan, for all the cult film buffs on here. (Video NSFW BTW)

Also, the screenwriter for this was a John C. Higgins! So he was Robin all this time!

Re: The Look (4.9)

That's unfortunate. Everyone and their sister flirted with perms in the 80s! Though perhaps Gretchen's didn't last a lot longer, as by her Murder, She Wrote appearance she seemed to revert back to her natural "Beth Davenport" hair. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_aJp0qokcq7U/SzBbRkgbN1I/AAAAAAAAAcs/...

Vera Miles sure is lovely. :) It's a shame she wasn't a redhead here like she was on Columbo (70s 'do aside), because she made for an amazing one. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-iNjO29RcoO4/U6pVWfgp7RI/AAAAAAAOmCQ/6zKtwYsm1Fc/s1600/Columbo-Lovely_But_Lethal-CSS-1973-2206.jpg Anyone else just retroactivel...

Re: Resolutions (2) (8.13)

As far as I know at this point, even the new UK Blu-ray set uses the edited version for this episode. If you can get a hold of the German Season 8 set though, you'll find the full version there. :)
