I was sad when I heard of Jeff McKay's untimely death.
It makes me wonder who the producers are going to find to play Mac's ghost in the new MPI movie! :D

There are some original shows out there. Watch 'Law and Order: Special Victims Unit'. The show sometimes feels like the intensity of Magnum P.I. but the writing is different. I think they base the stories on news articles about crime in New York City. As for the Simon and Simon crossover, I wonder w...

I think it most likely that Thomas Magnum is really from Hampton Roads, because thats where some scenes were filmed at during 'Coming Home' and 'Resolutions'.

The beginning of 'Mac's Back' shows Magnum depressed/intoxicated and throwing beer bottles all over the estate. It's almost like he's calling for help. The episode shows post traumatic stress disorder taking it's toll on Magnum.

I think that writers could have taken the subject matter a little more seriously. This fictional street gang 'The Shivs' don't act like biker gangs or street gangs in Hawai'i or anywhere else in the world. And this was the same year "Colors" came out in the theaters! In past episodes, the drama was ...

Seems like everybody is hatin' on this episode! I actually enjoyed it a lot more than episode with Luther Gillis .

The gunfight with the Thai bandits is reminiscent of the riverboat scene in 'Apocalypse Now'.

This episode rocks! Not only does it show the serious side of post traumatic stress disorder, we get to watch Magnum lose it for awhile. A couple of times in my life I have felt like Magnum did in this episode. Higgins was right in telling Magnum 'to buck up and get on with his life!'. Life goes on,...

Everybody has a right to their own opinion, but comparing McCain to Magnum is crazy! Their comparison ends at them both being P.O.W.s in Nam.
I do believe that had Magnum was real, he would make a great president with Higgins as his running mate!

Next time we'll compare T.C. and Obama!!!

It was totally awesome to see Magnum looking alot like a hippie!
Alas, the opening sequence was the best part of the episode, and the story winds down to sheer boredom. I think I passed out while watching this episode once on a drunken night!

What I always wondered after watching the episode, was what happened to the one pound of marijuana that Rod was carrying in his briefcase? Did he sell it for some extra cash before going to california? Or did Magnum keep for himself and his buddies?

It's really cool how Magnum is introduced to us as a lazy beach bum. I especially enjoyed the scene how Magnum cavalierly tried to drink a beer, talk on the phone and spy on the swedish twins skinny dipping, with binoulars! Magnum pretty much lives a lot like a college frat boy. He definetly matured...

Hilarious episode! I especially love the part where Magnum randomly ran into the ganja fields! There was flub that kind of brought a cheese factor to the episode though. The scene where Magnum gets into the jimmy. He calls to the dog to come into the car. The dog isn't filmed jumping into the car. T...
