Even though it wasn't great, I actually more or less liked this episode. Pretty good plot and probably the best Luther episode, he and Higgins working together was pretty funny at times. I love when they go to the cowboy bar and Higgins turns into "Elmo" and hustles the guy at pool. Not much of an e...

Not a bad episode but I found TQJ a bit annoying (perhaps it was just me!), also the Mac gag of conning Magnum is getting a bit lame too. :? I agree that TQJ was annoying and completely did not enjoy this episode. And yes the fact that Mac keeps conning Magnum is dumb. Magnum is a PI and very intel...

[quote="Tuan Vu"]I'm surprised that this episode received such low ratings. I really enjoyed it because it was really funny and lighthearted, which was a nice relief after a heavy "Blind Justice" episode. I agree Tuan Vu. I really enjoyed this episode for its light, funny, and offbeat plot. I've alw...

I have to admit I had never liked this episode a whole lot in the past but while watching it again yesterday I thought it was much better than previous viewings. I do like the episode's featuring Carol and this actually was a pretty intense episode with the ultimate morality check for TM. Overall a ...

Re: Suspension of disbelief and the metaphysics of Magnuvers

_____________ Seriously though - I loved this episode, rated it a 9.0 . It's not a "core" classic by any means, but I almost enjoy these watchable "backwater" episodes the best. Wow, that's exactly my opinion as well. The "core" classics, (Death and Taxes, Did You See the Sunrise, Memories are Forev...

This is one of my all-time favorites---wild, bizarre, eerie, freaky, suspenseful, captivating, and intriguing! :) That dude's voice is so freakin' scary...and that "sick" little giggle!! That would be enough to raise the hair on my neck for sure! :o Even though the rhymes "cracked" me up...they wer...

Anyone else notice that for the second straight episode we have an appearance by the midget from season two's Tropical Madness? Look closely as Magnum is trying to get in his car to get away from all the people auditioning and as the psychic lady is approaching him you see the little guy walk accros...

This episode, while not the greatest, is certainly not BAD. I wonder if the people who really hate it are big fans of basketball willie and the little people CIA agent episodes...now those were bad. The scuba scenes alone make this an excellent episode, along with the audio for the scene as JJ poin...

Did anyone else notice the vertically challenged man in the hospital waiting room when the guys go for coffee? He is standing in front of the drink machine. Is this the same guy that worked with the sumo wrestler in the tropical Madness episode? They looked similar. I just watched this one yesterda...

I liked this episode. By no means is it one of my favorites but I thought Pat Hingle was a really good guest star and the episode had a somewhat unbelieveable yet entertaining plot. I don't think I'm alone in saying that the greatest thing for me about this show was the main characters and their int...

Season five starts out with a bang in my opinion. Echos of the mind 1 and 2 is def great and then this one, especially the beginning. I'm way younger than the Vietnam era but think that it makes Magnum very human to show him dealing with all the tragedy's in his life. Of course it's far fetched to s...

Great episode! Sure it's a bit far fetched but in some episodes isn't that what makes this show so fun to watch? Sharon Stone couldn't be hotter or more convincingly nuts, Magnum's bushy hair couldn't look worse, and Higgins finding out what a cold, selfish person Lady Ashley is was a great subplot....

"Echoes of the Mind"...the title says it all, baby! I LOVE anything psychological, suspenseful, eerie, spooky, bizarre, etc...and this delightful, little bone-chilling, 2-part, season premiere was exactly all of this!! One of my all-time favorites--I love the "Hitchcockian" style plot twists...

Just watched this episode, the end of season 4 after arriving home after jury duty. It was very enjoyable, but I didn't laugh as much as I should have? It did seem to have its comic appeal - definitely Higgins doing karate kicks should have done it, I guess I wasn't in the mood. I did smirk when ri...

I found the episode a bit dull, like others have commented I think the flashback and curiosity factor of what the characters were doing pre Robin's nest to be the saving grace of the episode. For the show to introduce a love interest in one episode, even with flashbacks, is slightly too ridiculous ...
