TS was never a "Marlboro Man". He was a "Salem Man"! link (scroll down to 'Milestones') Strange. He would have been perfect for a "Marlboro Man". I don't think you can completely rule it out based on this statement, James: Did commercials for Salem cigarettes and Revlon. The suggestion in the quote...

Has anyone else seen the Biography show? What were your thoughts on it? I just watched it for the first time yesterday and I was quite impressed. I, too, did not expect it to be so up-to-date, but it is still probably a couple of years old. I say this because Selleck was talking about the possibili...

Okay, I finally have an answer to the front license plate question. :D A friend of mine who lived in Hawaii for 3 years just told me that yes, the front license plates do have stickers with dates on them. He said each year you are issued two stickers for each car, one for the back and one for the f...

I never new TS made Marlboro commercials! I knew I had read that somewhere , but it may not be true. He is not mentioned on the Marlboro Man page of Wikipedia. But there is mention of him here: Do you remember the Marlboro Man? He was a fixture on Sunset Strip for years. I just had to know ...

Magnum would have worn Navy issue, but Selleck (former Marlboro Man) probably preferred Levis!

Here's what looks like his typical jeans, from The Kona Winds (6.4) Near the end of that same episode, as TM is walking away from Lauren Henderson after saying goodbye, just before Sam walks into the room, the telltale red "Levis" pocket tab makes another appearance. At least, that is what it looks...

Richard McPherson is credited as Moody at the end of this episode, not Darryl Jacobs . I think I just answered my own question. Darryl Jacobs is a character in A Pretty Good Dancing Chicken , which was the next episode to air on WGN after this one. I guess someone just screwed up the credits for th...

Here are a few more things I noticed while watching this episode: 1) When Carol is on the phone, just before the lights go out in her office, she tells someone on the phone that Chelsea is a "pekinese... golden, brown, and white" , so it is not a dog at all... more like a furry football! Just kiddin...

Richard McPherson is credited as Moody at the end of this episode, not Darryl Jacobs . Carol referred to him as Moody, as did Rick when he gave Magnum the info he got about the license plate on the Jeep that Magnum spotted outside of the Lazarus parole board hearing. Magnum called him Moody when he ...

The show was still strong in the ratings and could have continued. Although I would love to have more episodes, I think Selleck made the right decision. At some point any show is going to run out of steam. He was smart to walk away while it was still viable. MPI was one of a short list of televisio...
