I'm going with Paddy, but this is sort of a lesser of all evils. Other than for a good laugh, I find the Higgie siblings episodes not up to the usual MPI standard. I put them into the 'Anglo cat lover charity tea party' comedy category.

Have you ever seen the rain is my all time favourite. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS9_ipu9GKw&feature=related With this band it is hard to pick favourites. I remember having a crappy K-tel record of CCR in the 70s. I loved every single song, even the fun stuff like Molina. Like Sellecklover I pl...

Instead we got Carol and Agatha. What were they thinking? Them's fightin' words partner! Tomorrow, town square, high noon... be there! ;) OK James. The series starts off with two awesome Swedish stewardesses who like to skinny dip. We don't even care who played the part or what their names are! The...

.45ACP or 9mm or BOTH?

This is noted in the main site from episode 1.2: ' A closeup of Magnum's gun reveals it to be a Colt Government Model .45 ACP (Series 70 model), Colt's commercial version of the standard military-issue M1911A1. In reality, Magnum's gun was actually a 9mm (though it played the role of a .45 on the sh...

I don't know if you guys noticed this or not, but Zulu (Kono from Hawaii Five-O ) makes a brief appearance as a hotel doorman! He is credited as "Zoulou", the French Tahitian spelling of "Zulu". Zulu http://magnum-mania.com/images/2_13_n_full.jpg I noticed, but had to do a double take with the hair...

Maybe it's groupthink, but I can definitely picture Agatha saying that.

Yes James, that scene on the beach is outstanding. The way Higgins selflessly implies his advice is very well done. Flubs: The usual continuity gaffs. TC's chopper has the black pontoons then it doesn't when TS gets out at the beach house. They are back on when heading back and I think off again whe...

Nice to see Vic Morrow, but he's a far cry from Sgt. Saunders in Combat or the punk in Blackboard jungle.

Maybe he was going for a TS look, but somehow the longer hair and mustache don't work for him.

.....that is the very exclusive but yet clumsy group called the "yellow fellows"..they are super nerdy, cowardly and aren't very professional just to throw off the enemy and when the enemy comes out from hiding and put down their guards....Special Ops come in and WHAMO!!!!    :...

The one time I would have censored MPI

No it's not the boys' love of strip joints or hanging at the Snow Palace. It's this type of propaganda in 'From Moscow to Maui' that might have had the Russians launching an all out real offensive. This scene is a security risk. This says, 'Look at the capability of the front line US service man. Yo...

Watched it recently and the theme came right back to me. I never followed the series, but likely watched a few episodes or at least heard the opening before switching channels. Funny how little tunes can stick in your head forgotten for a quarter century and then be brought right back from something...

I like this sequence after TM surprizes Higgy and almost gets stuck with a foil. Magnum: 'What's that?' Higgins: 'Was your American education so lacking? That's Shakespeare; Romeo and Juliet, Act 3, Scene 1. Magnum trying to look intelligent: 'Of course' After some further discussion/negotiations Ma...

Speaking of the club on Magnum, I wonder how the censors missed the stuff in the background (THAT SHOULDN"T HAVE MADE IT TO NETWORK TV). It's the scene in the last episode of the series and they have that big fight in the club. I was like... I first time I saw that...LOL You're right about ...

No, really I believe you. It just conjured up that image in my head. Trust me I know about strippers, excuse me Dancers. I worked the door/bouncer at a "Gentleman's Club" for about a year and even dated a few of the girls while I was there...and trust me the stories and things they'd say surprised ...

I'll go against the flow and state that I always liked this episode. Maybe it's because when I first saw it in reruns, the cold war was still on. I like the action oriented, cold war feel. Yes the plot is weak and it is dated, but it's like the Clint Eastwood movie Firefox. You can't watch that movi...
