Re: Tigers Fan (8.4)

Just a short comment about Page.... He's the kind of cop you have to really appreciate. A guy who does what's right, even if it may not be completely by the book. I loved how he knew what Magnum was up to and helped in the background even though it wasn't completely what someone else would have done...

Re: Tigers Fan (8.4)

If you go to the scene on the baseball field where TM and TC "discuss" their respective baseball strategies and check out when Biff rounds third base, you'll see the third baseman looking toward home and having his glove up in a catching position as a target for the catcher to throw the ball to him,...

Re:

During Lt. Tanaka’s funeral we see a U.S. Army Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor ribbon. I don’t recall if it was revealed during the series that Lt. Tanaka was ever in the U.S. Army. However, the Medal of Honor shown was the variety awarded by the U.S. Army (as opposed to Navy/Marines and Air Forc...

Re:

Great observations Golf and Doc . Higgins as Mr. French. I can buy that. I don't have a problem with Magnum going back in the Navy, because other than being a private investigator, that is all he really knows. I strongly agree with you, and emphatically believe it was the best solution for him. No ...

Re: Pleasure Principle (8.2)

Flubs... Between the 9 and 10-minute marks, when they show again the shooting in the warehouse, when Thomas goes down, his body is mostly in the shadows caused by the outdoor light entering through the door. But, when they switch to the closer shot of him lying on the floor, he's completely out of t...

Re: Innocence... A Broad (8.3)

This was a really fun episode! Despite some weaknesses, such as the abruptness of the ending, there were so many laughs, maybe more than in any other show I can remember; I gave it a 9.0 Ricks case of entomophobia really tickled me. Watching Rick's reaction to the hint of bugs at the club was great,...

Re:

In season 8's "Resolutions" (part 2), Rick's full name is stated by the clergyman performing his wedding ceremony to be "Orville Wilbur Wright III". The middle name "Wilbur" may have been mentioned in some other episode(s) as well. However, in this episode, Rick's birth certificate shows his name t...

Re: Limbo (7.22)

If there was a word better than "perfect", I'd use it for this episode... Absolutely fantastic.... and I echo all the wonderful comments everyone has submitted.... I hate to be saying anything less than the best about the show, but there was an editing flub that hasn't been mentioned. When Michelle ...

Re:

This was a very memorable episode for me as a kid; I watched it the night it originally aired. I seem to remember knowing at the time that it wasn't the end of the series though; knowing that there was going to be an 8th season, and wondering how they were going to bring him back from the dead. Kno...

Does anyone agree with me that today's shows just don't have the same feel or appeal as they did back then. Growing up in the 80's there wasn't any internet like there is now to keep us entertained, no text messages, only quality tv shows that were well written, and the plots always had a message t...

Re:

Magnum has always been my favorite show, in the 80's, and now. They just don't have the same feel or story line today like they did back then. The show always made you think, reflect on something that has to do with most people's lives. Limbo, sure made you think about what it might be like when yo...

I totally agree, and will go further to say it could be the best episode of the best series ever. In my opinion, it is.

Re:

Also...I think there is a later scene where Lily sees Thomas...at least it looked like it to me. When Michelle comes back from her near-escape on the road and while she and Edward are talking, Thomas starts to walk away and Lily walks over to some trees and looks toward him through the trunks. It s...
