It was a good show. Very quirky but good. As a matter of fact, the quirkiness made it very enjoyable to watch. The part about Fleischman discovering Bigfoot (Adam) and going to his home for a gourmet meal was hilarious. This show never jumped. Rob Morrow wanted out of his contract and they had to fi...

HB, Great opening topic. We will expect more of the same from you... I had another thought about your question. When I was watching the show during its original run, I was 18 and progressed to 26 by the shows end. I sort of grew up with TM as he grew up during the show's seasons. I did not re...

N1095A is correct. Remember that TM agrees to spread the recycled vegetation for Higgns in order to borrow the recording deck for his lesson plan or 'idea vocabulary'. The gardener was called away for some reason that I cannot remember. TM comes home from the cancelled class and spreads manure is th...

James wrote "Magnum drives around in a Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Roadster. And Ms. Jones, the "Hall of Records" clerk, makes another all too brief appearance."

I'm not sure that an appearance of Ms. Jones could be too brief...

I firs saw John as Higgins on MPI. I had no prior knowledge of him at the time (early 80s). I thought he was British. I feel like the texas accent is the 'performance' and the British accent is real. I know this is caused by my lack of knowledge in him prior to Magnum. It is similar to an actor bein...

Man, I can;t get a good grip on my opinion of these episodes (Deja Vu). They are a little crazy, a little interesting, a little perplexing, and a little bit like they missed a great opportunity. I didn;t care for the divination part one bit. That crap was simply rediculous. They also missed some rea...

I hate to be the wet blanket here but I did not love the Selleck westerns. I love westerns (good ones) but his were a little dry for me. Quigley was pretty good, Monte was interesting but predictable, and the others were just so so... I enjoy Selleck most times but the westerns did not do it for me....

Despite the nonsense of the entire story, I sort of enjoyed this one in a campy sort of way. It is fun to see the old KKC. Rick and TC seem to be having a good time. I found it to be one of those episodes that is so bad that it is good or at least fun to watch... I did not like the foray into the ps...

In the back left of the frame when Magnum is talking to the old surfer dude and his granddaughter, you can see a house on stilts that is the same place used as the hippie flop pad of Gary the dope pusher creep from Wave Goodbye.

Yes, I noticed the similarities in the audience as well. The MPI group had a great sense of humor.

Yes, the show wobbled a little. Seasons 6-8 had a mixture of good shows and 'what were they thinking' shows. I don't know how this can be prevented. Every show has cast concerns, writer and producer concerns, network support concerns... there is a great deal to be juggled to keep a great show great....

I understand that the original theme song won an award and the second and iconic theme song did not. Crazy, huh? The second theme song created a real buzz. It was a cool song and actually landed on the top 40 airplay list! I began watching MPI after hearing the theme played on the radio. It created ...

Man, this episode reminds me of playing softball some years ago. We had team jerseys and hats but wore our own pants, sock and shoes. It was funny to see all the different colors of softball pants out on the field at the same time. Also, a real professional softball team (ringers) would have trounce...

James, Thanks for the info about the Dungeon Master game in Little Games. This games reminds me a little bit of a Magnavision games I had in the early 80s. Magnavision was a console that connected to the TV. The game cartridge was called 'Vampire's Revenge' if I remember correctly. It did not have g...
