I'm guessing that "Lily" is/was Michelle's mother's name, so little Lily is named after her two grandmothers. I'm also guessing that Kristen Carreira got the part (despite her evident lack of acting experience) because she was the right age and could already speak French. Perhaps she could also spea...

I noticed at the end when TM is getting on his surfski, he's not wearing the team ring or the bracelet. .... I wonder if that was an oversight, or maybe he was trying to disassociate himself with Collins for a little while. Or maybe he took them off for fear of losing them in the ocean? I don't rec...

... the final shot with Magnum and Higgins jumping off the cliff, it sure looks like TS and not a stunt man. Is it possible that TS did this actual jump into the water? Movie-makers will sometimes have a stuntman wear a facemask, so as to look like a particular actor. In that case, of course the ch...

I'm amazed to see that I've never posted anything on this thread. So -- It's been a while since we've watched this episode, but we really liked it! True, we would not want the series to turn into Magnum's Business Trip of the Week, but this particular change of pace was very nicely done, kind of cut...

... I thought we might be headed towards an exciting big biker showdown (maybe in the style of ‘The A-Team’s classic first season episode ‘Black Day at Bad Rock’, or ‘Knight Rider’s similar first season ep ‘Good Day at White Rock’) .... Just in case anyone is wondering why the two episode titles th...

I don't watch much tv these days, so my initial reaction dates back to Mr. Newton's early days as a young performer, when he did not project a particularly he-man image. However, from what little I've seen of him lately, he does seem to have grown up! I would say that he has definitely aged, and for...

I'm not noble, I just figure better an original-cast movie and no money than no original-cast movie and no money. I've been meaning to add this: In the most recent photo I've seen of John Hillerman (linked from this site's home page), he appears to weigh at least as much as in his Higgins days, and ...

I've heard of cases where a studio made a movie and got sued by someone who had come up with a similar idea. I don't believe that such suits generally go very far, but studios do try to avoid them. They might even throw out an idea if something similar had been published elsewhere. So, just in case ...

Re: The Treasure of Kalaniopu'u (6.9)

Magnum says that he escorted Robin Masters around the island to "scout locations" for his new book. In "The Case of the Red Faced Thespian" (S4), it is stated that Robin "never does research for his novels". Scouting novel locations is considered research. This may not be a flub. I can think of sev...

Cha Cha who??? You had me there, James! But Google to the rescue.

I see that Cha Cha DiGregorio was "a minor, but totally vital character" in the 1978 movie Grease.
