Sex symbol now?
OMG!!! http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/slideshow/2013/11/04/would-sex-symbols-yore-be-hot-today/?intcmp=obnetwork#slide=11 I disagree. Compare to the "rough and tumble" guys of today, such as all those "stars" playing in the comic books movies (none of which have I seen and very few of which wo...

Re: Hawaii Five-0 (2010)
Conch,
EXACTLY what I was thinking! (and then, OMG, there's another one?)
But, V V, I confess, I don't miss him . . . .
I do think, however, that most of us here understand when someone exaggerates to make a point.

Re: Marcia Wallace passes away!
Just saw this on the news and came here first to see who else had noticed and immediately thought of "Beauty Knows No Pain." Besides me. Glad to see the community here makes note of these things. Interesting to see how MPI spread so many threads.

Re: Hawaii Five-0 (2010)
Depending on how much Kamekona weighs, I think there is a possibility that he would not get a license. I understand the show's wanting to show someone as the supporting character, "T.C."-type person who flies a helicopter, but I think this is the least likely supporting character to be a realistic h...

Re: Blue Bloods on CBS -- Selleck on "Letterman"
Anyone see this one? There may be a mention of it elsewhere on the Forums, but I tried here first because he was on the show due to the BB connection. Interesting talk re his new dog, MPI story re Sinatra, a couple of goofy MPI laughs (well, I guess they're really Selleck laughs). But he sure looks ...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
Well, that just saved $600 . . . . . but, dang!! After 25 minutes, I realized they weren't going to go back and over Robin's Nest. Wind turbines are cool and all . . . . but Robin's Nest is better. IMO Interesting that so much of this looks like it does when I'm doing it in flight sim -- but my scen...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
As it turns out -- and I'm very disappointed to report -- we aren't going to be doing this. When the reservations lady at Paradise told me they couldn't guarantee that we would be in the Magnum chopper and couldn't promise that I wouldn't be stuck in that middle front seat if I happen to be the smal...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
Oops!!!! Good thing we aren't taking a MD500 out of Hilo. http://hawaiitribune-herald.com/sections/news/local-news/day-after-crash-paradise-helicopters-resumes-flights-hilo.html Picture appears to be a MD500 -- note the round nose and T-tail. golf P.S. From what else I can find on the internet, Para...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
scotty73, Thanks for such good pictures and for so much detail about your flight. Now we know to ask for Josh as our pilot for our flight. One more question though: Is someone seated in the middle in the front??? There's not a seat there, is there? Or do they just put a little jump seat of some kind...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
You're right. We're going to do it. IF we can!! And . . . Don't worry, we both have cameras that shoot both videos and stills, and we have several SD cards for them -- three 8GB cards and two 16GB cards, plus we have three extra batteries (for a total of five batteries) and we will make SURE all the...

Re: The Return of "The Chopper"
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO envious! We're going to Maui the first week of September and I've scheduled a "doors off" flight (having done this twice on the Big Island with Mauna Loa Helicopters in a Robinson 22 that I was able to "pilot" for about 15 minutes -- whoo-ooo!!) with Alex Air (but I'll be ...

Re: No, to new TV show or movie!
This comment will probably bring great support or great antagonism. Having just seen "The Lone Ranger": If there were a way to do it with Armie Hammer as Magnum and Johnny Depp as -- are you ready? I think he would actually make a HYSTERICAL Higgins! But it would take some REALLY GOOD writing! If so...

MPI reference too! I think this was the one shown Monday, March 25 -- I DVR'd it and just watched it last night. And at the very end there was a helicopter flight and reference to MPI, the theme music, and all the characters. Very cute!! If you missed it, you can probably find it on the "vew full ep...
