Magnum Mania!

Want to express my appreciation again for this site. Has been one of my favourites for a long time. Every time I rewatch Magnum P.I. (every 4/5 years) I always have ended up here. A LOT! :P I even once suggested adding a sound file... "Ahi Sushi Delivery...". Long time ago. Remember JJ? Anyways, was...

Re: Surprised

I am not enthused about a reboot at all. The whole thing makes me want to barf. :( I just feel Magnum too iconic. Would be like doing a new M*A*S*H with new Hawkeye or whatever. Some shouldn’t be touched. You know fans of originals of Hawaii Five-O thought the same way. And the reebot is the big hi...

Re: Reboot in the News

I dunno. Still makes me angry reading that. Maybe I have to listen to Magnum’s Grandfather’s advice. Anyway, on this particular walk my grandfather confided in me that probably the only thing you can count on in life is change… that no matter how much you wanted things to stay the same they never di...

Surprised

Newish to the board although have posted a bit. Was surprised so many people are receptive to the reboot. Thought a lot more Magnum fans would be upset. I still don't know if I'm gonna watch it. And if I do, how I will react. Just feels so wrong anyone else being called 'Thomas' or 'Magnum' in that ...

Re: Magnum P.I. Filming Locations - A Rubber Chicken Guide

Macaulay Culkin I thought you wanted four. It was harder. Macaulay Culkin - Dan Aykroyd (My Girl) Dan Akroyd - Kevin James (I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry) Kevin James - Bryan Cranston (King of Queens) Bryan Cranston - Robert Forster (Breaking Bad) Robert Forster was Tyler McKinney http://...

Re: Magnum P.I. Filming Locations - A Rubber Chicken Guide

Went to Byodo-In last month for the first time.

Was an incredible place.

Wifey was annoyed by my constant Magnum references.

Re: RIP John Hillerman

New to the board. John Hillerman dying was very sad. I don’t really get sad at celebrity deaths. Matter of fact, I have often said I don’t understand people being so upset when famous people (they don’t know) pass away. That said, I was very upset. It was like Higgins was part of my family. :higgins...

Re: Peter Lenkov

Then he delivered The Force Awakens. Which was pretty awesome! The Last Jedi? Not so much. Really? I was expecting a continuation of the story of our childhood heroes. Something new and unique. Not a rehash (basically) of A New Hope with our heroes being deadbeats. To each their own. :D

Thought that way about JJ Abrams with Star Wars VII.

He’s my age. Grew up Star Wars kid like me.

Thought it would be awesome...

Then he delivered The Force Awakens.

Re: The Magnum PI reboot thoughts

P.S. Any tips for uploading an avatar? Does the function work? I can’t seem to shrink a pic small enough to be accepted. No clue. Mahalo and Aloha. Hey, T.Q.! :D I noticed your "Mahalo and Aloha".... by any chance do you live in Hawaii? 8) Regarding the avatar, yes I believe it's working just fine....

Re: The Magnum PI reboot thoughts

Hey everyone. Just joined after many years referencing, reading and enjoying Magnum Mania. Big Magnum fan since my youth. Brought my kids up watching too. Was motivated to join because of the new Magnum in the works. I’m pretty disappointed and I’m torn whether I’m even going to watch. I liked the L...
