Re: Mad Buck Gibson (2.9)

Poignant episode about mortality spoiled by one of the most irritating characters on the show, played over the top by Darren McGavin. The hairpiece and the fake beard are so awful they really distract from the story. Vera Miles is great though. Buck's character (or a less annoying version of it) wou...

Are we supposed to believe that the University of Hawai'i would allow any mug to borrow valuable 17th plans from their archives so he can built a kennel for his dogs?

Kathleen Lloyd is much sexier here than she is as Carol. They made her too frumpy.

This had one of the best endings in the series: Higgins: "T.C. Baby, it ain't over 'til it's over."
Hillerman lapses back into his native accent when he says that.

Re: Mixed Doubles (3.10)

It's Sisophous vs The Women again.

Anyway, I don't get the hate for this episode. Apart from the laughable tennis technique by all actors but Selleck, I think it's a fairly entertaining episode, and it reveals another aspect of Magnum's past.

Re: Three Minus Two (2.22)

I noticed a few flubs: 1) When Higgins stands in front of a collection of yearbooks in the study, the yearbooks are not ordered by year, but placed totally at random. That's very unlike Higgins. 2) When Higgins meets Jan Kona, he congratulates her on her current swimwear collection. Again, being int...

Re: Italian Ice (2.16)

Hi, I have to say that this is my favourite episode of Magnum, the one I always seem to go back to. So many great moments, and Mimi Rogers was indeed a very hot lady. Two things I want to comment on though... I remember watching this when I was a kid (I was born in 1976 so I was very young). I reme...

Just started watching MPI again and how could I have forgotten this stunning lady. It's Virginia Fowler from Ghost Writer. They are so well matched. She would have been an ideal Mrs Magnum and being a friend of Robin's would have kept Higgie at bay. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/AA777/Virg...

What? No Michelle?

My vote goes to her obviously. She's the most fascinating beauty on the show.

Re: The Guest Star Females SUCK, BIG TIME !

What is with the women they choose for this series? Wendy Girard is another unlikeable girl. Her looks are decent, she is attractive, but the character these girls play on Magnum P.I. is always a turn off, pushy, opinionated and just not people who enhance viewing these episodes. At the opening of ...

Maybe it's just me but I find it funny how this character named Marion bears a passing resemblance to tennis player Marion Bartoli.

Re: The Curse of the King Kamehameha Club (1.11)

There is one big continuity flub in the kitchen fire scene. When they're sitting in Rick's office/living room and they hear the alarm Higgins is wearing a shirt with gold and navy blue stripes. Seconds later, when the make it to the kitchen, that that has been magically replaced by another one with ...

Re: Never Again ... Never Again (1.7)

Those fake night scenes are painfully bad. I can't believe they didn't bother to actually shoot at night. It's the kind of stuff you would expect to see in an Ed Wood movie.

Re: Skin Deep (1.6)

I find it very out of character that Higgins would be a fan of David Norman's trashy B movies. Although I found the acting tapes quite painful to watch this is a very good episode. Classic early Magnum complete with jungle shootout, and I love the final scene. I find it funny that they call beach vo...
