Re: Blueprints from Bureau of Planning
Hallo, I am following since a wile his topic. Maybe it was discussed earlier in this forum, but did someone ever try to get the blueprints from the city hall, bureau of planning or who ever administers the permitting and building admin? This is possible, though the structure is quite old (1933). Un...

I hear you Kimbosan. I would love to see some photos showing the rear of the main house clearly, but I guess that would require someone to break the law and sneak on the grounds. Dare I dream of getting to see a set of floor plans or elevations. Eve Anderson's relative reclusiveness makes it all the...

Hi Guys, I am hoping someone has some pictures of the interior of the Guest House - Boat House as it stands, I know it was used for external shots but does anyone have any idea of the interior. I know Rick Romer has shots of the set , but I am looking for shots of the inerior of the boat house as I...

McGarrett went through the door from the courtyard in the first picture with the fireplace to his immediate left as he entered. The wall facing him across the room has the two pairs of french doors looking toward the ocean. The one with the arrow in the second picture is one of them and also the one...

You are on top of it Sam! I haven't seen that episode in years, but my memory was not too far off. The other window you mention, along with the door, are already in my model. You can see them in many shots of the estate because they can be seen clearly from the balcony. The window(s) and doors at th...

Cool Sam. Like I said every little bit helps, caps, video clips, any areas of the home that are not typically seen. In the first clip I just noticed there is a small window to the right just before the door they go through. They show this area from a distance in "Cloth of Gold" but I only saw two do...

Great observation Sam! I hadn't linked the two definitively, but I thought it was the one. I have that door and the lanai included on my Sketchup model. Woe to Wo Fat has many scenes at the estate if memory serves me, including one of the rooms in the single-story ell by the seawall. Unfortunately i...

Rubber Chicken, you're right. The new screen caps clearly show that. In Cloth of Gold there is an arched alcove to the right of the door that is missing here. Strange that they would use the same set moments apart for two entirely different places. I also agree with you that it was the actual bedroo...

I've seen that episode also. It was a pretty good one. I believe they also show the two rooms upstairs closest to the seawall, a bedroom and some kind of sitting room. These were shown in Cloth of Gold also, when Akamai was found dead and Kono later detects seawater on the pillowcase. By the way, th...

James, Thanks again for the compliment. I was looking at the set photo when I wrote the comment. While the set is quite narrow, the stairs alone would be a minimum of six feet wide for both runs. The set looks at least 16-18 feet wide to me, almost double the width upstairs in the actual structure. ...

Very, very late on this thread. In modeling the boathouse using Google Sketchup, there really is no way the set would fit into the actual structure. Using the property tax dimensions, and assuming the walls are a foot think judging by the window recesses, the interior space upstairs is approximately...

Found these pics today.. http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg226/Sammy251/MagPI2.jpg http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg226/Sammy251/MagPI1.jpg These pictures show an early aircooled van, before the 1984 purchase. You can tell by the metal vents behind the rear window with seven slots. They only...
