Re: Looking for a cheaper alternative to the Pepsi GMT?

Actually, I'd be interested in any pics. I have an 8" wrist. The only thing keeping me from the 42mm, was the thought that it didn't have a tapered bracelet.

Re: Looking for a cheaper alternative to the Pepsi GMT?

Steinhart also makes the same watch in 42mm. I have an 8" wrist, and I'm leaning toward the 39mm because it has a tapered bracelet. 20mm -16mm like the Rolex. The 42mm appears to have a non tapered bracelet. I'm going to be buying one or the other in November. I just can't decide which.

Re: Looking for a cheaper alternative to the Pepsi GMT?

Steinhart makes a 39mm GMT Pepsi with an aluminium bezel. Not only does the aluminum bezel look more like TM's Rolex, but I think it's overall better looking than the newer ceramic bezels. The Steinhart is out of stock often, so you have to preorder, or just keep wat hing their website. It's a Swiss...

At what age did you discover MPI?

I was just wondering at what age everyone discovered the greatest television show ever made. I am 48 years old, and I've been a Magnum, P.I. geek since I was 10. And I'm absolutely not ashamed of my obsession.

Re: The "Get Wet" cap

you have a pm And let me make clear again: If Downing would have ever succeeded to recreate the cap, I'd gotten one of them from them. I have started to do one cap for myself and have done more for people that asked for caps. I am not making any money out of this - just helping others. A few years ...

Robbie is a fan of the show. He's made rings for Tom, Roger. And Larry. He's a heck of a good guy too.

Re: Shapeways Team Ring

I did a little research on the Shapeways ring a few weeks ago. Turns out the brass will turn your finger black unless you coat it with clear nail polish, and you have to paint the black part around the cross yourself unless you purchase a separate black plastic insert. I believe the original rings w...

This is intolerable. I just can't accept this. I guess we're about to see Hawaii's first non-public beach. Visit the tidal pool while you still can.

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

OK, so, we're talking about $8M for the property, say around $3M for taxes over 30 years, and (guessing) maybe $5M for restorations. So for $16-20M, you could live happily ever after.

Re: MAGNUM PI COUCH ON EBAY!!!!

My aunt Sara had the same couch when I was growing up. She's 97 now, and I talked to her at Christmas this year, she said she still has it in her storage space. She said if I want it I can have it. Of course, she's a few hours away, but....
