I had problems with Season 2, most notably Wave Goodbye. This was true regardless of what I tried to play it on (ie. dvd player; dvd rom; Xbox; etc.)

I can't remember any of the other specific episodes that gave me trouble, but there were at least one or two others.

Finally. I'm still surprised it's taken this long for them to air it. I wonder if it will pick up the story thread that was left hanging in Sea Change.

I think this is, in part, due to the fine acting of James Spader. Besides our TS, I believe he just might be one of the best actors on TV today. You often hear about an actor "disappearing" into a role, but Spader truly does with Shore, imo. I've seen him in dozens of films and tv shows over the ye...

I never thought I'd be able to think of Shatner as anyone but Captain Kirk...but now it's hard to see him without immediately thinking, "Denny Crane." And that's no small feat. I initially bought season one because of the Denny Crane foolishness that I'd seen in clips. So it was a great surprise to ...

Anyone seen Superdome (1978)? It's hard to believe that in two short years he'll go from this to MPI. LOL...that looks fantastic. Speaking of classic Selleck, I just picked up Runaway on dvd. I was very excited about this, since it's the first time I had ever seen it on a store shelf. (Sure, ...

I remember when this rumor first appeared back in 1990. Today it would probably be debunked online fairly quickly, but back then, it slowly spread via newspapers and word of mouth. The end result was a huge boost in video rentals. I'm surprised no one has ever asked Selleck (or any of the cast) abou...

It looks to be close to a widescreen transfer. Those specs appear to be for the Region 2 and 4 versions. But I don't believe a widescreen version has ever been released in the US (Region 1). The original 1998 release was a bare-bones disc that featured a full-screen transfer: Back Cover - Standard ...

This episode does have one of my favorite "Oh My God!" moments from Season 6, as Magnum opens the door to reveal Higgins in the darkroom. What I love about it is that you just know it's coming, as soon as Magnum begins talking about the darkroom. For some reason, that just makes it even funnier.

Tropical Madness and Black On White are two that I usually use to introduce someone to the show. To me, they both represent vintage Magnum P.I.

I was flipping around a few weeks ago and noticed Marta Dubois on an episode of Walker, Texas Ranger. She definitely seemed like a completely different actress without her 80's hairdo and "Michelle" accent. But it's interesting to see other fans critical of her as Michelle (see also the "Little Girl...

LOL...nice one Tanaka!

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread yesterday. I started seeing online hoaxes late Monday night, but it would've still been fun to watch the thread unfold.

My sis and I were driving in the car the other day trying to find some place with the GPS. We thought of a brilliant idea to have TS be the voice of our GPS. Just think of the marketing possibilities! If the GPS would periodically launch into life lessons featuring eccentric relatives, childhood re...

I had forgotten just how awesome that strip club fight scene is! Definitely the best brawl of the entire series! It's almost three minutes long and the whole gang is involved! I'm still shocked they were able to sneak by the censors with that topless dancer. You can clearly see her breasts at two d...

I don't think there is any right or wrong answer here. I think this just illustrates the many inconsistencies of the writing. I'd say we're probably more in agreement than disagreement here. If the ideas had been given enough time to develop, either approach (detective agency; Navy) could've made p...

Magnum was a great private investigator too, but the problem with that, is that he never had two nickels to rub together. I always felt that was due more to personal choice than personal failing, though. If Magnum had really wanted to increase his bank account, he had plenty of opportunities to do ...
