A Great Episode! Did You Notice The Flub?
This is one of the my favorite episodes from season 1. Did you notice the flub? The flub occurred when Magnum entered the Treasures of the Dove at the beginning of the episode. When he entered, the narration by Magnum/Selleck referred to Mai Lin's "Uncle" Ho, when in fact it was her "Cousin" Ho.

I agree with you both, Shermy and James. This was a very good episode for many reasons. One of my favorite scenes was when Magnum and TC are driving out to find Makua, and they drive up to the convenience store and standing on the front porch is this leggy local girl (I think) in red shorts. I saw t...

Why Did TC Wear Suspenders And A Belt At The Same Time?
Have you noticed that TC in many of the episodes wore both a belt and suspenders at the same time. Why was this? Was this some sort of fashion statement that I missed during the 80's?

Why Detroit Tigers?
As James mentioned, my impression of why Magnum was a Detroit Tiger fan was because Tom Selleck was born in Detroit. The movie, "Mr. Baseball" ends with Tom Selleck's character as a hitting coach for the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Florida during Spring Training. So, his Detroit influence goes beyon...

Thanks for the welcome James, glad to be here. Although this doesn't involve a stunt double, another blooper to watch for involves TC in the episode "Faith and Begorrah" (season 3). When Magnum drags TC to his client's Gym to give him (Boxer-Client) a report on his wife's infidelity, TC is standing ...

Applies to TC too
It's funny to see the action scenes with the stunt men for Magnum and TC. Now that we all have DVD players, you can pause and play in slow motion, and it is very obvious who the stunt men are. I'm sure the producers of Magnum P.I., never dreamed that the average consumer would have a piece of equipm...

Magnum Stuff
Hey all, There is a website called Cafepress.com (I think) and they produce T-Shirts, coffee mugs, hats, and many other types of apparel and items. These are not collectible items from the 80's, but you can get items with Magnum P.I., Island Hoppers and other Magnum related stuff. If the web address...

Worst Episode
My least favorite episode has to be season 4's "Paradise Blues" with guest, Chuck Mangione. To have Chuck Mangione play his trumpet while in a dialogue with Magnum was very cheesy. It seemed like Chuck Mangione was some social misfit who could only communicate through his trumpet. Guest, Leslie Ugga...
