Re:

I had a similar experience when my Dad was in the hospital. He'd been having health issues for a year or so and then one evening his heart stopped. My Mom called the paramedics and they revived him but he wasn't himself and kept having emergency situations with his potassium levels and fluid build ...

Re: strange

before I ask my question.......it is great to read your posts about how Magnum affects you. It is my favorite show of all-time and that is in large part due to the fact it makes you think and draws out your emotions......ALL of them. That, IMO, is what great writing is all about. I recently saw 'Li...

Re:

This show is one of my all time favorite episodes in TV history. My sister and I watched it without realizing it was the series finale. I was spending less time home watching TV and more time out with "the guys". Well, we watched, and as the shock of what was happening wore off we realized that the...

Re:

I'm just curious as to what folks are seeing different in the syndicated version and the original episode. I don't have season 7's DVD's yet however I do have the original episode as it aired on CBS that I had recorded at the time and it seems the same as the syndicated version to me. Magnum walks ...

Re:

I really wish Magnum had spent more time "saying goodbye" to Higgins. It just seemed way too brief for their level of friendship. It is a bit surprising. But when you think about it, nothing about this episode should really work. Magnum only gets a tiny amount of screentime with the main characters...

Re:

Finally got up the nerve to watch this episode and I sure was glad I did so when my husband and son weren't around to see the tears streaming down my face for the entire time! Well, I'm with you! I'm glad I watched by myself, because like you, the tears were plenty. Not so much because of the appar...

Re:

I thought that was REALLY cool in that only Lily and the lads could actually "see" him, kind of like the popular notion that only children and animals can see ghosts. And of course, Higgins taking care of Lily in the guesthouse was cool too, kind of like a godfather or something..... Anyone who's r...

Re: The People vs. Orville Wright (7.21)

In subsequent episodes, and I'm thinking primarily of "Limbo", was anything every explained how Rick got out of jail for his guns??? One of the things that always bothers me is the obvious differences in times when alternate angles of particular scenes are shot... it becomes so obvious when the ligh...

Re:

I have to say I laughed out loud when TM and TC were in the chopper chasing the accountant and TM spots the car and hands TC his binoculars. TC then tells TM to "Take the stick." and TM has to reach down to get it and makes an ugly face. THAT was one of the funniest things I've ever seen in MPI. :l...

Re: The Aunt Who Came to Dinner (7.20)

This show caused opposite reactions in me... Honestly, most of it, to me, wasn't great. Yeah, I loved Lani, loved Mag's time trying to renew his license, and of course the interactions with Higgins and TC. But, the main body of the story was just so-so to me. What really got to me was the dealing wi...

Re:

I have updated my profile to show that I live in Honolulu. I have often wanted to just go and take photos of the exact locations (with the same camera angles if possible) of the scenes in the episodes just to show what it looks like now. But for the most part, things haven't changed all that much a...

Re: The Aunt Who Came to Dinner (7.20)

If Sully had been Magnum's father's brother, his last name would presumably have been Magnum, so apparently he was not. He could have been Katherine's brother (was her maiden name ever mentioned?), but not necessarily. I might be mistaken, but I believe I remember Magnum's mother's maiden name bein...

Re:

Katherine Kelly Lang plays the hot maid, Lani, in this episode. She is a soap star these days and as hot as ever. I am disappointed that, after all the "come hither" glances she and TM exchanged there was no kissing scene. I guess it wouldn't have been in TM's character. Well, we don't know what ha...

I know I'd have very hard to have some chemistry with her... she was awesome.
