Re: China Doll (1.3)

This is a very solid episode. The Choi character introduced a great villain with lethal fighting abilities. Personally I think an ending with a one on one of Magnum against Choi would have been awesome but I doubt TM would have done too well, that guy was insanely tough and quick! Funny to see good ...

Re: On Face Value (4.19)

This one seems to grow on me with additional views. Both TM and Higgins show their more emotional side and true character which is cool, the face reading thing got a bit old but Talia Balsam was a good guest character as well. Carol almost always adds to an episode in my opinion:)

Re: The Curse of the King Kamehameha Club (1.11)

I completely enjoyed this episode and gave it an 8.5 These early ones were so, so good. I love how they showed much more of the club in this one, including Rick's original office which has an amazing view. From Makua (wow was he creepy) to the surf ski race to the plot with the shady granddaughter t...

Re: Beauty Knows No Pain (1.18)

This is a fun episode and I gave it an 8.0 - Marcia Wallace was hilarious and played a great character. I love her assessment of Magnum's body type and athletic ability when TC was trying to talk TM into joining the Iron Man in the guest house lol. - TM riding the bus and then Higgins laughing at hi...

Re: Lest We Forget (1.10)

This is yet another solid episode from season 1. These earlier ones seem to just be all around better, plateauing in season 3 and starting a slow but gradual decline in my opinion. But back to this episode: - Loved the whole Higgins helping Magnum because he was a former military bridge champion, ju...

Re: The Arrow That is Not Aimed (3.14)

This is a good solid episode, an 8 for me. - The Tozan character has grown on me the more I've watched this one. I think it was interesting how he taught TM some things and vice versa. - I totally enjoyed the ninjas and the ridiculous music that played when they were on screen, very fun! - Good old ...

Re: Favorite scene and favorite episode

My favorite episode: Death and Taxes Favorite scene: The showdown with Milton from Death and Taxes. This episode is complete perfection and my most viewed by far. The showdown at the pool is very intense and has some CLASSIC lines from Milton including his infamous "Wise old owl" poem. Just love it!

Re: Foiled Again (3.8)

Some of the posts im reading are questioning why Tom Selleck incorporated the Detroit Tigers into Thomas Magnum. I understand that it is a bit odd for a guy from Virginia to love a sports team in Michigan, but I do have to ask (respectfully of course) is it really that hard to figure out? Selleck is...

Re: Dream A Little Dream (4.20)

Don't care for this episode at all. I found Karen Teague to be annoying and just a totally boring character which made for an even more boring episode. The only thing I enjoyed was seeing early day post Navy TM, hilarious mullet! And also Rick on the beach in his Bogart getup, I'm wondering if that ...

Re: Let the Punishment Fit the Crime (4.17)

I LOVE this episode, 9.5! - Good overall mystery (although a little confusing at times:)) that kept me guessing. - KAY LENZ WOW! - Even though it was odd as to why the cult members at the docks made TM jump in the water (rather than just scaring him into driving away and leaving them alone), it was ...

Re: Paradise Blues (4.15)

I really don't care for this episode whatsoever, a 6 for me. - I love TC but just felt he was pretty gullible to hook up with Alex again. He's smarter than that even though he loved her. - The guy playing the trumpet or flugelhorn or what ever it was SUCKED! That was one of the most annoying scenes ...

Was Magnum a Navy SEAL?

I know I have read that Magnum was in fact a Navy SEAL through different posts but given that there are so many episodes/posts I wanted to ask here instead. I can't remember it specifically saying he was (unlike McGarret from Hawaii 5 0 where it is very obviously made clear that he was in fact a SEA...

Re: Tigers Fan (8.4)

Good episode but have some specific points to mention: - Did Thomas and Tanaka's conversation on the baseball field seem forced and overdone to anyone else? Yes they had a friendship but it was a professional one of police officer and private investigator, not of touchy feely best buddies. Just my o...

A wise old owl lived in an oak,
the more he saw the less he spoke,
the less he spoke the more he heard,
why cant we all be like that wise old bird!
