Re: It Got By The Censor/In Jokes

IVAN wrote: "Blood Money Is Hard to Wash" is a top 5 episode from season 9 for me. Dane Clark is fantastic in it as Victor Jovanko (love that last name!) and I just love how increasingly irritable and unstable he becomes as McG squeezes the noose around his neck tighter and tighter. McG really takes...

Re: Recent Passing of Stars

Sadly British actor Pamela Salem, who played Alyce in the London episode of Magnum, passed away last week aged 80. She was also in Doctor Who three times, The Great Train Robbery, Miss Moneypenny in Never Say Never Again, and The West Wing. She had a strong career in British television. https://mag...

Re: MAGNUM ON ROKU

Might be old news, and I just missed it...but I was looking around on the "Live TV" listings on the ROKU channel...and lo and behold...there it was! The channel is listed as "Universal Action" and is #304 on my tv. Says that they play action series from the 80's, including MPI, A Team, Knight Rider...

According to an Nov.23, 2023 article in the Honolulu Star by Jane Smith - "The show’s protagonist, Steve McGarrett, portrayed by the legendary Jack Lord, was loosely based on a real-life HPD detective named Chang Apana. Re: It Got By The Censor/In Jokes

I Dream of Jeannie, "My Master, the Author," Season Two Episode 16. At the very start of the episode Jeannie and Major Nelson enter an art gallery. Jeannie spies a painting and dashes over to examine it more closely, exclaiming - "Oh look master. It is an original 'Ansara'." Barbara Eden's husband ...

Re: Recent Passing of Stars

He didn't die recently but rather on August 29, 1987. However legendary Oscar winner Lee Marvin's 100th birthday was just a few days ago on Feb. 19(born in 1924). So happy 100th Lee Marvin, up there in that Big Saloon in The Sky. Thank you for The Big Red One, The Dirty Dozen, Cat Ballou, The Man Wh...

Re: Should There Ever Be Another Magnum PI Show?

I have been saying ad nauseam on here for a while now that the only way I could ever see a movie being made was to have a well known actress play Lilly as the lead (my choice has always been Mila Kunis) and have he originals as the supporting cast. I can picture the opening shot of arms swimming in...

Re: Season 5 Episode 20: The Big Squeeze (5.20)

Rich Heldenfels of the Tribune News Service in today's newspaper column said Magnum P.I. star Jay Hernandez is currently lobbying/negotiating for a TV movie to wrap things up. As noted before such a movie would be a win win for all involved. Even if just a one off it would push the total for the re...

Re: The Return of Luther Gillis (4.16)

The Return of Luther Gillis Saw this one for the very first time and really enjoyed it. Actually even more (I think) than the first Luther Gillis episode. The first one just had Eugene Roche but this one also has the added bonus of Sheree North as Blanche. I didn't even count on enjoying her as muc...

Re: The Return of Luther Gillis (4.16)

In my above post, I was wrong concerning the "minor cop character" appearing on both the original Hawaii Five-O and the original Magnum PI in the same role. I was thinking of the below - "Actor Dennis Chun has appeared in the original Hawaii Five-0 and the reboot. He has also appeared on both Tom Se...
