Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

Funny you should mention this...just found this last night. Sorry if it has been posted here before. It's obviously not a website, but I assume Mary Worrall/Sotheby's must have hired the company, Slick Pixels Hawaii: http://vimeopro.com/hiep/41505kalanianaole It kinda' makes me sad :( Brilliant vid...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

The large mortgage sounds promising as it could be used to renovate. Thought it could also be used to demolish and subdivide I guess.

Re: International Marketplace closed

Thanks for the info. Kenji. I can remember walking down Dukes Lane after my visit to the IMP. Good to hear the stalls still exist, albeit in not as good a location. Can see them set up on Google Maps https://www.google.com.au/maps/@21.278842,-157.827193,3a,75y,6.08h,60.66t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sBXSoK_...

Re: International Marketplace closed

I had no idea, that's a shame :( I bought my gold chain there on my visit to Oahu. Here's an article for those interested: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/01/02/waikiki-international-market-place_n_4532155.html It doesn't make any mention of where the vendors may have moved to, does anyone know? ...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

Also, perhaps controversially, I'd say that Jeannie Wilson--as she appears in the pilot--gives even hallowed MPI Peach of Peaches Erin Grey a run for her money, but I know I'm alone in that view. However, I adhere to it to the death! You're not alone. This episode, and season 1 as a whole I'...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

Something strange... Has anyone else noticed the Pirate's Key double episode mid way through Season 2, plays out similar to a pilot movie like when they are first trying to get a show picked up a la Magnum's 'Don't Eat the Snow In Hawaii'? Is it possible this was actually filmed before the series s...

Re: 1983 Magnum, P.I. Annual

There's a few copies of the '83 Annual floating around on eBay for anyone interested. Buy it now of $135! No basis in reality considering what others have gone for on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/MAGNUM-P-I-ANNUAL-U-K-HC-1983-Very-Fine-/281565212182 That's what the yanks want for it. The poms are m...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

Granted I've only started watching Season 2, but from the first few episodes it seems like they've taken a more serious twist ie. They're more developed investigations now, the guys are not the poor cousin agency to Myron's, they have connections in the DA's office to pull strings etc

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

I'm really getting into it. Have just started season 2 and watched the MPI crossover episode, as well as noticing the re-jigs they've made for season 2 including Janet becoming a DA all of a sudden out of nowhere not to mention her ridiculous new boofy hairstyle. Pity, she was really cute in season ...

Re: Simon & Simon DVDs

Have started watching Simon & Simon for the first time ever. Currently going through season 1 and thoroughly enjoying it. Whilst not as good as MPI, it's enjoyable and I always enjoy watching 80's shows, especially for the first time. One thing I've noted, almost every single episode so far as I com...

Re: The Robin Masters Estate (Pahonu)

Hi Guys! Thanks for making a new member feel so welcome. Nice to see there's no turf war going on between the two greatest series of all time (no names- both filmed in Hawaii). I corresponded with the people involved and can verify everything that has been said about the condition of the main house...

Re: Don't Eat the Snow in Hawaii (1) (1.1)

The Pilot episode is one of my go to episodes when I need my Magnum fix. I agree, it has just about everything we love about the series. I also like the way it was shot. There was more of a movie quality about the episode to me. I don't know if it was the film used, the equipment, I'm not technical...
