Re: Don't Say Goodbye (1.15)

'Take me to 265 So-and-so Drive'
'I ain't running no taxi service!'

That exchange cracks me up every time. :)

Re: All Roads Lead to Floyd (1.13)

Floyd Llewellyn booking a flight over the phone:

'Hello, I would like to book a flight for Saturday'
'What's your name, sir'
'Floyd Llewellyn'
'OK, you're confirmed'

Say what???

I also noticed his daughter keeps calling him 'My daddy' even though she's from Kansas. Isn't that a Southern thing?

Re: The Ugliest Dog in Hawaii (1.8)

I assumed he was just making stuff up to occupy these guys. Did he know they were from New York because Magnum mentioned it? The "mustache's" thick accent also could have tipped him off. hmmm hard to say. I don't think so. No one knew for sure that DiGiorgio was involved in the plan. And Rick recog...

I think Amy Yasbeck doesn't get enough recognition.

Don's ancestral home, Gamberale in Italy, paid homage to him earlier this year:

Re: Favorite Subtleties of the Show

I always enjoy the subtle nods and winks that MPI threw to "English major" nerds throughout the series. I have to confess that I have a degree in English. Degree has never done much for me, but it sure helps me get a lot of inside jokes that I feel the writers of MPI threw onto the tv screen during...

Re: Favorite Subtleties of the Show

This is a formal subtlety but I love how they frequently melt one scene into the next through unconnected pieces of dialogue that make it sound as if characters from different scenes are talking to each other when they're not (I don't think I'm doing a great job of explaining myself :( )

Re: A Girl Named Sue (8.7)

Of course Magnum couldn't leave the valuable antique gun in the car. He had to leave it right in front of the ramp they put to unload heavy equipment. That was straight Wile E. Coyote stuff.

Re: Solo Flight (7.16)

This episode is slower tan usual, but it resonates with me. The whole growing pains thing is a constant in my life. I love how he watches old war movies for soul searching just like I watch old Magnum episodes. When I was a kid I wanted to grow up so I could be like Magnum and other badass adults fr...

Re: Laura (7.18)

We know Sinatra exists in the Magnum universe, since Magnum likes to play Strangers In The Night on his saxophone, but he obviously didn't exist in this particular episode, or people would be shocked by how this Doheny fella looks exactly like Frank Sinatra.

Re: One Picture is Worth (7.3)

Two possible flubs:

1) Are deaf people allowed to drive?

2) Why would they broadcast the picture of a potentially protected witness on TV? And how did they get her picture in the first place?

Re: Home From the Sea (4.1)

When Higgins was short with Agatha and even when he told her it wasn't her he had wanted to marry she took it very Britishly and didn't seem overly emotional, but she got completely heated over a game of chess? It was out of character and kind of shocking. She didn't get heated over a game of chest...

Re: Foiled Again (3.8)

As soon as the "business associate" was introduced I knew he would be relevant to the plot. Why would thy have him introduced to Higgins otherwise? I also noticed he shook hands with his left hand despite not appearing to be a fencer. I wonder why Higgins didn't get involved with the woman in the en...

Roger E. Mosley and Bob Minor interview

Here are Roger E. Mosley and Bob Minor being interviewed at an event a few years ago. MPI is mentioned and there's some interesting social history thrown in as well. Mosley still sounds every bit like TC:
