Re: Limbo (7.22)

Unpopular opinion time. I don't know how to rank this one: It is an excellent episode, but I truly dislike it. I dislike it because in my mind it didn't have the correct ending, and I would have hated CBS if this had been left as the series finale. Now, there are parts of it that I like -- the Dick...

Re: My new 1980s obsession

My sons & I reworked my mancave setup this weekend. Gone are the PlayStation (original, bought 1990s) and Xbox (original, bought when new in the market). Added are a Wii U and Nintendo Switch. Still, the 2600 and 5200 get the most play. :)

Re: Laura (7.18)

I thought I had posted in this thread before, but I didn't see it, so maybe not. Anyway, I find this episode extremely difficult to watch, and not just because of the Phil Collins music (lol). Honestly, I don't mind the music so much, but man, that subject material is just difficult. So sad and terr...

Re: CHiPs

It's a little cheesy, yes, but overall CHiPs has held up well over the years. I, too, watched it growing up, and still enjoy watching it with my kids.

Cool, Tubi... I was wondering where you were watching that. I'll have to check that out - thanks!

I really want Remington Steele too, but we're not Prime Video members... oh well.

Re: I may be done with the internet, news and big tech!

I always look for the Hitchcock cameo as well, but I usually don't see it, so I have to look up cheats online so I know what time segment to look for him -- then I see it. :D

Re: I may be done with the internet, news and big tech!

Mr. Smith Goes to Washington is excellent, and I should watch that tomorrow with my kids... hmm... I'm a big Hitchcock fan too - both of those you mention were excellent. I really liked Rear Window, The Birds, Psycho, Rebecca, Foreign Correspondent, Dial M for Murder, Vertigo, Marnie. Really the lis...

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

Thanks. Here is a pic of my current frequently-worn watches, in no particular order. L-R: Mathey-Tissot Batman GMT; Steinhart Pepsi GMT; Chronosport SQ30; Seiko 6M25; Omega Seamaster DeVille (ca 1960-something). The Omega was my grandfather's, and my parents recently found it and gave it to me. It i...

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

I know it's heresy to remove a Tropic Strap from a Chronosport, but this morning I swapped my Tropic Strap and my Maen-brand NATO strap. I like the results here. Since I'll never take my Chronosport in the pool, I'll leave things this way until I actually buy a second Tropic Strap. https://i.ibb.co/...

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

I think this one looks nice on the NATO strap, and this NATO strap fits me very well. I just think I wouldn't like getting the strap wet, because it wouldn't be easy to dry. Rubber straps and stainless steel bracelets seem to me to be the winners for diving.

It's only 10ATM, but that's fine for the pool.

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

I have this Mathey-Tissot, which I like, but I don't like the Jubilee bracelet it came on, so I moved it to this NATO strap.

I don't want to take this strap swimming, and was thinking maybe this watch should be on a Tropic strap.

What do y'all think?

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

I got a new watch yesterday. It's not a Rolex Pepsi GMT, but I did the best I could... The GMT hand is set to Honolulu time. :magnum: I mostly got this to track my exercise and to be able to go on walks without taking a phone -- I'll just take the Apple Watch and AirPods now. I will still prefer my ...

Re: Buying a Rolex or Chronosport

Question for you horological sleuths: Did TC also wear a Chronosport Sea Quartz 30 in some episodes? Someone commented on the Momentum Watch site: "Did you know that Theodore Calvin (TC) also wore the same watch? Season 12, Episode 12 "Thicker Than Blood." About 4:50 in...while he's checking anothe...
