Re:
I reckon the best parts of this Ep is the relationship between TSM & JQH. I've said more than a few times here that, to me, the relationship between all four is what made the show, not the stories themselves. And, yes, Mag and Higgy definitely have high regard for each other, even when they're bitc...

Re: The People vs. Orville Wright (7.21)
^^^ The reason given is found in the very next episode "Limbo." Magnum (offscreen) discovered that Rick's arrest warrant had been filled out using the name "Rick Wright" instead of "Orville Wright." Somehow this was enough to have all of the charges dismissed and Rick was immediately released. It's...

Re: The People vs. Orville Wright (7.21)
WHAT HAPPENED???? Rick ends up in jail on federal gun charges for 10 years????????????????????????? How did I not remember this? I thought he was at the final episode where Magnum goes back in the Navy. I think the first episode in the 8th season explained how he got back into circulation. Apparent...

Doc Fred , love all the episode reviews that you did. You clearly are an intelligent fan of the show. Look forward to your Simon & Simon reviews. ;) Thank you! You made me blush! You run my favorite site on the internet... truly love it. And, the people here are all "friends"... thank you!

Re: Roger e Mosley- was he a bodybuilder?
Looks like he spent hours each day in the weight room from the sight of those biceps. As for being in great shape, I doubt it, just look at his waistline, it is not that slim. He always seemed winded when he was in motion too. I'd say he built for mass, not shape. His midsection looked very solid...

Re: Resolutions (1) (8.12)
Well, I guess I'm different from the rest of y'all... I liked the return to Virginia and the Naval Academy; liked seeing "the family". I also liked having Linda Lee Ellison as part of the story. It sure looked like she and Magnum were going to have a lasting relationship, and maybe that was just to ...

Re:
To all those people who haven't seen the deleted bar scene: I'll explain because I have the original DVD when it came out in 2008. Magnum, T.C., and Higgins took Rick out to a strip club for his bachelor party. He said: "Thanks guys for bringing me here!". "Well it was your idea, Orville!" T.C. rep...

Re:
I found a flub I haven't seen mentioned before and, if it has, I apoligize. They throw Magnum a surprise birthday party. Well, it must have been a pretty cold August in Virginia for Magnum to have had on a sweater and leather jacket! Clearly, the episode was filmed in the cold season. You can see t...

Re:
I think what happened is they were able to get Howard Duff so they found a way to use him. Magnum having a grandfather that is still globetrotting at that age is a little unbelievable. Also, they seem to rush him into the scene and then rush him out. It does help explain why TM feels conflicted bet...

Re:
What doesn't make sense here is Howard Duff as TM's grandfather. Duff was born in 1913 (not necessarily was TSMII born then, but it would have to be about then). Therefore, when our TM met him in 1988, TM was 44, and his "grandfather" was 75?? That just doesn't work, even give or take a few years. ...

Re: Unfinished Business (8.8)
Had I been Magnum, after seeing the tape of my daughter and the woman I loved murdered by the p.o.s., I'd have offed him. I don't think there's any way I'd have been merciful as Thomas was. In addition, were I on a jury deciding the fate of someone like Magnum, if he had killed Ki, I'd have voted "i...

Re: Forever in Time (8.5)
A thoroughly enjoyable episode... I love the shows that deal with the mystic world, and this was one of my favorites. I liked the idea that someone in Mangum's ancestry COULD have been the navy lieutenant from 1910... especially considering the newspapers Magnum found indicating a family tie.... nic...

TIGERS FAN still stands out as one of my all time favorite episodes. It has a little bit of everything, from hot dogs to Albanian Countesses, friendship, humor, action, revenge. As a child of the 80's, I remember the later years of Magnum the best, and this episode always stuck with me. As likeable...
