A ha! I was looking on the Google Earth map and missed it. Thanks for the link to the photo in the Guide and for all the extra info! I will definately add this to our family map of places to drive by.

It's kinda funny that they used a funeral chapel for a wedding chapel! :D

J.J.,

I'm glad you heard it, too! I agree that with all the names the character had, it would be easy to make the mistake without anyone on the set catching it!

If there are any locations in particular you're wondering about, but aren't listed in the guide or by James on the site, let me know and I'll see if I can find them. RC, since you offered . . . There is one location that I would like to see. It's the wedding chapel that Magnum and Babs go to in sea...

I think his real name was Carl Kapowitz, but since the incident with the reporter he has used the alias Jerome Stenhauser. I guess he was using the later name when he met Lola. His nickname seemed to be Killer (which he prefers) during his playing days, but the press started calling him Bad Friday ...

Okay, I've just read through all the postings and don't see that anyone caught one flub. In the scene where Buzz finally recognizes Killer as a former baseball pro (not softball pro as stated in a previous posting), he begins to identify him when his nephew shouts out "He's Carl 'Killer' Kapowitz!" ...

I know it has been years since the discussion ensued over a map of all the shooting locations, but I was struck by the fact that the subject was inspired by this episode in particular. I am planning a trip to Oahu for my family and I, too wanted to go to the Day 'N' Dark store. I thought I was the o...

"Who's Dot Matrix and what has she got to do with this?" This funny line is from the second Luther episode, not this first one. But the scenes with Magnum and Luther are so hilarious and memorable that I had forgotten the scene where Higgins is teaching Kung Foo to a bunch of Blue Hairs at the esta...

It makes me wonder if they came up with episode ideas just to pick up ratings, like this week on magnum we'll have a really short little person ninja guy? In Larry Manetti's book he says J. Rickely Dumm wrote this story line after Larry told him how much he wanted to work with little people. I gues...

I just read through the posts for this episode and didn't see that anyone was confused about the timing like I was. So my question is . . . how long was Magnum treading water? When TC and Higgins realize Magnum isn't home, they say, "So he's been out on his surf ski for two days?!" Then the scene cu...

Thanks for all the recent posts Lulu. Love the name! Welcome to the forum. Styles, I thought I'd learn how to add quotes as I respond to your welcome message! Glad you like my name. I must say, I joined the forum mostly so I could use the name and the hilarious photo of Babs bracing herself for a f...

Well . . . I guess I'm just a pushover for the comedy episodes, including this one. It makes me laugh, so I like it. If I think about it, my expectations are higher for the dramatic episodes and their guest stars. Firefly makes a good point about Thomas beating Susan to the shack. But I think you ar...

It's nice to know you are from the UK! I'm glad that in spite of the poor coverage of MPI over there, fans like you were able to develope an appreciation for the show. I think you are smart to savor Magnum a little a time and introduce your other half slowly but surely. I was kind of sad when I watc...

Thanks for sending me my first greeting, grambax!

Sounds like you're watching episode broadcasts as opposed to DVDs. As a Murder She Wrote fan, what did you think of the crossover episode? (Guess you ought to answer that question on the "Novel Connection" forum.)

Anyway, thanks for the posting!

Well, I can't let the reviews be too one-sided . . . I loved this episode! I thought Carol did a great job of pulling off a female version of Luther Gillis. And I always enjoy Magnum's interaction with characters who bug the heck out of him. Tom to Susan: "Nice looking coat! What is it? Unborn linol...
