I consider this an excellent and rather underrated episode. It holds up well to repeat viewing too, unlike some (Going Home springs to mind).

I still rate this episode a 5 at best. The writing is uncharacteristically woeful. RJ is a psycho and the actions of the main characters don't ring true at all given RJ's behaviour, as has been pointed out by others. I really need to post on episodes I love though as there are only about 10 episodes...

This episode was legitimately painful to watch. Cringe worthy indeed. 5/10 at best and surely the worst episode of series 5. IMO anyway.

Can't believe I forgot how good this episode was! For some reason it wasn't in my mind as one of Magnum PI's best episodes but rewatching it, it most clearly is. Great pace, structure, music, acting: A masterpiece.

McShane is superb as usual: that's 2 for 2 in terms of McShane MPI episodes!

Watched this one again. Definately a classic episode IMO. I can't remember what I rated it, but it deserves at least 9 if not 9.5.

Tom is just playing the 'Nam footage to remind Kate of her values, some of which she'd cast aside in her desperation to nab a great scoop.

Great episode.

This episode is definately a masterpiece; just as good on repeat viewing. 10/10.
