Re: Magnum and Michelle

By the way does anyone know if Magnum was still technically legally married to her after her ''death'' in 1975? I've never been married and he wasn't married to her in America so I'm wondering if in America they were ever legally considered married. I beleive that when a US military member wishes t...

I think that Magnum and Michelle being together for a time and then losing that relationship was tragic and dramatic. The on-again-off-again thing is a product of our modern TV and films. What worked once and pulled heartstrings, well why not again, think the producers and writers. And you know what...

I had totally forgotten the details. Higgins pretending to be Elmo, pretending... oh never mind. It's like time travel - too confusing. In the trailer scene, I guessed, wrongly, that Higgins was standing in for (well lying in for) Elmo to protect him. But all was revealed. Must have been a fun episo...

Yes Higgins "is" that age. But I imagine him as a rather "young" 91, still tending his orchids, bugging Magnum, and keeping Robin's Nest going - at least in the Magnum universe of 2010 (just read my stories!).

Nice to see the JH picture this month, although it's tough to see him today (and not like he was pre-1988). I don't know what JH's motion problems are but having both scooter and a van for mobility must make life a lot easier. Our minister's husband is a lower-leg amputee from an accident, and I thi...

I justed watched this espisode from the DVD and it certainly is powerful. It has no breast beating scenes - things just play out. The final lines where she asks, "When will the war end?" and TM answers - "I don't know" say SO much. For some it never ended, and never will. First mention of Icepick an...

An enjoyable episode. I had no memory of seeing it before, until Katrina does her thing to the photo. That set the little grey cells working. I really liked Mimi Rogers as the character "Margo." Shame her character was not continued. Perhaps giving TM a steady was too conventional? And the struggle ...

I watched this episode last night and enjoyed it. I have no memory od seeing it in 1982, but is was a long time ago.

I liked the subtle clue in the car which set TM on the right path.

I have posted a 2nd story over on Fan Fiction dot net. It is named 'Remembrance' which is a sequel to 'All These Years.'
Both tales involve our fav private investigator Magnum in the present. The stories are posted in the TV / MAGNUM P.I. section.

I think this was "we need a story that uses computers" kind of thing, and it wasn't that great. And to be honest some of the acting was less than stellar. But interesting to see Larry M's wife - not on Buck Rogers. I did enjoy Higgins sweating and puffing. I'll bet cast and crew got a big grin out o...

I'm flogging another Magnum P.I. story and hope to have it posted on FanFiction in a few days - there I have set a goal! :-) It is a sequel to "All These Years." Thomas will be dealing with cell phones, laptops, etc and other electronic ephemera of today. The title is "Remembrance" and I was given a...

If you remember the movie "A Mighty Heart" - about the kidnap and murder of reporter Daniel Pearl in Pakistan - cell phones played a very big role in that film. I'd expect that the 'modern' Magnum - and in my mind's eye he is 64, not 34 - would have to know about cell phones, laptops and the Interne...

I still think the character could have carried her own show - although she came across as imperious and...icy. But perhaps that was the appeal. She was the perfect counterpoint to Magnum.
